Requirements for Reforging to +3

Defeat any Omen midboss
Defeat a specific number of Sweetwater and Transcended foes within Omen.

Clearing either requirement grants the Distorted fragment, and Coelstrox will offer to upgrade your reforged artifact armor from +2 to +3.

Upgrading is a two step process.

Step One

Coelestrox will request that you trade your +2 armor, a requisite amount of slot-specific Paragon Cards, and a job-specific Omen boss scale. A fee of Escha Beads is then collected:

200: The next step will be available the next game day.
10,000: The next step is available immediately.

The number of paragon cards required depends on the slot you are upgrading

Head: 12
Body: 15
Hands: 9
Legs: 12
Feet: 6

Step one totals for all five slots: 54 Paragon Cards; 5 Omen Scales; Beads Fee of 1,000 (Normal) or 50,000 (Rush)

Step Two

Coelestrox will further require a handful of crafted materials that use the 1 million gil raw materials available at guild shops, and collect another fee Escha Beads.

300: Your completed piece will be ready the next game day.
15,000: Your upgraded piece is immediately available.

Head: Cyan Orb x2, Khoma Cloth, Synthetic Faulpie Leather
Body: Cyan Orb x3, Niobium Ingot, Cypress Lumber
Hands: Cyan Orb, Cypress Log, Faulpie Leather x3
Legs: Cyan Orb x2, Cypress Lumber, Ruthenium Ingot
Feet: Cyan Orb x1, Khoma Thread, Azure Cermet x3

Step two totals for all five slots: Azure Cermet x3; Cyan Orb x9; Faulpie Leather x3; Khoma Thread; Khoma Cloth; Synthetic Faulpie Leather x1; Cypress Log; Cypress Lumber x2; Niobium Ingot; Ruthenium Ingot; Beads Fee of 1,500 (Normal) or 75,000 (Rush)

All Reforged Artifact Armor +3 can be stored with a Porter Moogle using Storage Slip 25.

Required Materials

Paragon Cards are obtained as personal rewards for completing Omen objectives. You will only receive paragon cards for your main job while participating in Omen.

Paragon cards may also be obtained randomly as rewards from A.M.A.N. Trove Venus Orb battlefields, or as spoils during specific battlefield monthly campaigns.

Boss scales drop from the six Omen endbosses. Ou may drop scales from any of the five other bosses. Scales may also randomly drop from Sweetwater and Transcended foes while progressing through the content.

Kin's Scale: WAR, MNK, PLD, DRK, SAM
Kei's Scale: WHM, BLM, RDM, BLU, SCH
Gin's Scale: THF, NIN, DNC, RUN
Fu's Scale: BST, DRG, SMN, PUP
Kyou's Scale: BRD, RNG, COR, GEO

Set Bonuses

Reforged Artifact Armor +3 confers Set Bonuses that increase Accuracy, Ranged Accuracy and Magic Accuracy. These bonuses activate while wearing a combination of two or more pieces of Reforged Artifact Armor +2, pieces of Reforged Artifact Armor +3 or specific pieces of Regal accessory equipment obtained from Ou, the final boss of Omen. A maximum of 5 pieces can contribute to the bonuses as listed below:

2 pieces worn: Accuracy, Ranged Accuracy and Magic Accuracy +15
3 pieces worn: Accuracy, Ranged Accuracy and Magic Accuracy +30
4 pieces worn: Accuracy, Ranged Accuracy and Magic Accuracy +45
5 pieces worn: Accuracy, Ranged Accuracy and Magic Accuracy +60
