You Work Fast! O.o
Damn… You really do work fast you know? Not five minutes after I posted that deletion template for the Past Event Watcher article did you change it into a redirect, add some of the content from that article to the Melody Minstrel article, and added a sorting feature to the cells… Well I guess I'm not so much that impressed by the time you did it in as much as I am that you took notice of it so quickly. o.o
Anyway, I already changed all links in all the melody minstrel NPC articles from "Past Event Watcher" to "Melody Minstrel", so you won't need to worry about that. –FFXI-Anson 21:21, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

These should really be renamed to include candid in the filename, as when the items themselves become available, people will usually be wanting to upload them by name, and that will cause confusion and chaos with these existing candid images. --User:Charitwo/Sig
Deletion of the "Black Mage AF" redirect
I just noticed the "Black Mage AF" redirect had been deleted. Why not have redirects to the artifact ("<job> AF"), relic ("<job> relic armor"?), and the artifact +1 ("<job> AF +1") armor sets? Admittedly, one way to find those sets is a search on their associated jobs, but that adds a level of indirection (search on the job >> job's page >> scroll down to the job-specific armor sets >> click on the appropriate set >> armor set page). Plus, user searches generally return nothing closer to the armor sets than their associated jobs themselves, and usually a few ranks down from the top of the relevancy list. Adding pages enabling user searches to link directly to the armor sets would add a lot of result efficiency w/o much overhead. —The SCSIBug 12:56, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Bestiary Categories
Might want to use <br clear=all /> at the end of the description, otherwise the image bleeds outside the table. --User:Charitwo/Sig 02:44, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
LB1-5
The number one question i get from newly level 50 players is "Where do i find the limit break quests on ffxiclopedia?" I'd like to add redirects for LB1, LB2, LB3, LB4, and LB5 to their respective quests for convenience. Seeing as you were the person that deleted the last version of the LB1 page... I'm asking you if its ok. --Ruben 17:02, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- Ok read your messages. I already made Genkai etc. links... those are probably excessive.. since I'm new at this I'm going to leave them there and give you permission to delete them if you deem it necessary. --Ruben 18:22, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
Multiple Upload
You can't use apostrophe's in filenames or else it cuts off anything before it, all your images are Image:'diel etc. --User:Charitwo/Sig 13:58, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
Drain Samba Page
Heading off an edit war before it starts...
[Samba]
Verification tags are there because lines 1 and 4 conflict Talk:Drain Samba#Contradiction.2FPoor Wording.3F.
User:Solarhawk thinks they are there for... whether DRG's Wyvern drains or not I think. Anyway, he's removing them for some other reason than why they are there. I reverted the change once, he reverted it back. I've left a talk message, asking him to re-add it them self and explaining what needs verifying. I'm not going to revert him again myself, so if they do not could you arbitrate please.

Avatars
After perusing some of these, I tried this out MediaWiki:User-profile-picture-picsize, it appears at Special:UploadAvatar. Feel free to adjust but I didn't feel like pasting the whole section on avatar policy there and I didn't link to it because people ignore the one at Special:Upload anyway. --User:Charitwo/Sig 03:29, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
Regarding betiary "systems"
I mentioned this in the forum topic for the new bestiary categories (which are awesome btw^^) but there hasn't been a reply in like six days now so I don't know if you saw it; there is in-game precedent for calling them "types" in the Blue Mage "set spells" interface. Conversely, nowhere in the game are these ever called "systems" or "ecosystems". So I propose that, similar to how "fame" got changed to "reputation", we follow the game's terminology and change all instances of "system" as used in this context to "type". How would something like this go about getting approved? I'm sure it wouldn't be well received if I just went through and started replacing all of these by myself without asking about it first, so I will wait for further information. --Toksyuryel 05:36, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
- Per what I perceive as agreement in the forum thread, I've gone ahead and changed instances of "system" as used in this context to "type" (turns out this only actually affected two articles). Lemme know if I screwed this up. --Toksyuryel 19:05, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
- Looks like I missed all of the blu spells, and who knows what else; never thought to search "ecosystem" as well. Oops. Since I can't fall asleep anyway, I'm gonna go ahead and work on fixing the blu spells now. --Toksyuryel 18:51, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
- And done. I'll look for more later, need a break now @.@ --Toksyuryel 20:10, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Main page redesign
I've been working on User:Kirkburn/Dev - thoughts? The layout is done by divs, although the individual boxes are still tables (which should also probably change). Kirkburn (talk) 12:47, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

External Image Whitelist
Hi Gahoo, I talked to the technical team about the problem of the image whitelist not allowing images here - the problem is that this wiki is still on the "New York" code, so the whitelist isn't carrying over. The code will be shifted over and merged in the near future (they hope it will be in the next couple of weeks) so it will work from then. Possibly we could set this wiki allow all external images in the mean time? or would you prefer to wait? -- sannse (talk) 17:57, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
We don't really need external images here per our Image Policy. It makes it harder to enforce. --User:Charitwo/Sig 18:01, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Notices
Nope, it's been a recurring problem ever since the move to Wikia, and I don't see why people are trying to do it. A little notice that can be dismissed up for a couple weeks isnt going to hurt anything. And it takes less work to disseminate it to the entire community rather than police each upload and leave messages for every siingle upload in the long run. --User:Charitwo/Sig 18:56, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
ZNM Status Chart
Hi, yeah I was thinking of making a condensed version of my template along those lines and it probably fits the average user better too. I wanted to keep track of all the trigger / trophy items for myself though as it's not uncommon to have a seal plus a few more items for more seals of the same kind, several of my ls mates have triggers all over the place and many "unnecessary" ones for others to lot. Anyway, great work! You probably made it far better than I would have. :D --PetriW 21:35, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
Ok, should work how you want it to now. If you find any problems (or just want something else changed), just let me know. Always happy to help with templates. ~ Karuberu 01:37, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
This might sound a little crazy..
But just out of pure curiosity, wouldn't the information on this page work better for the Notorious Monsters category page? Since categories are normally used as "overview" pages for a subject (like Swords or Quadav categories for example), it just seems like it would be more fitting, but I haven't seen anything in policy about such a change taking place on some certain date or anything. From what I've gathered, the use of categories how it's done here is a sort of recent decision, and I know there's not been a whole lot of change to the NM category page in the past two years. I know it's a probably big "move to category and therefore lose contribution history" issue, which is why I assume it's not been mentioned (at least on its or on the NM category's talk page), and sorry if this has been suggested before somewhere and I just didn't notice. Just, in my opinion, that guide page looks a lot more like a standard category page for this wiki. --Alydra 14:17, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
- FYI, if import is used to move pages to categories, contribution history isn't lost. --User:Charitwo/Sig 14:23, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
