I know ya'll are busy with the upgrades and the global issues, but we need TOR to finish what he started and rename the two confirmed users (FFXI-Melios and FFXI-Kyrial) located on FFXIclopedia:Move/Renaming users, also, it appears when people got auto-renamed with an FFXI-prefix, their deleted contribs are not carried over completely. Although he retired, he still has a handful of contributions on the German ffxiclopedia that were not affected by the merge. So his contributions, deleted contributions, userspace, and user rights are all still under User:Mierin, can this be addressed in addition to the above? By default when you're editing a page its Editing Tips ON and Widescreen OFF you know if there's a way to make it the other way around? --User:Charitwo/Sig 11:33, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

You can set Editing Tips off in your preferences, but it looks like Widescreen isn't there (yet?). It can't be set that way round for the whole site because, as with a few recent new features, it's specifically designed for newbies. They are the ones most likely to need the tips, and least likely to know about them or how to turn them on or off. Those are all Wikia bots, tagged globally. Two or three of them may flood wikis with edits at times, so we suggest they stay botted - but if there is community consensus, I'll remove the flags (but you should be aware that if we do, there may be strange edits in recent changes, where maintenance and testing is going on). -- sannse (talk) 16:17, 27 July 2008 (UTC)
