User talk:Gahoo/Archive 1/31/08

A change was made to the template to compensate for the new maps. Please see the map checklist page for the new code to include these in your profile if you choose. Thank you! --Wayka †Talk† 05:15, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

I'm having an issue getting the Assault Checklist to show up correctly. Recopied the code from the template page and redid it. It's not showing up right, I was wondering if you could take a look at it? I appreciate the Help. ^^ Click Me! --aTTiLa t/ c 22:33, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

This is all fixed now, Gahoo. --User:Charitwo/Sig 15:42, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

A new subsection of the items template may need to be added for things purchased with Allied Notes. Someone already came up with a decent formatting option for them on Iron Ram Jack Coat. I've used it on Pilgrim Tunica too. Look it over and see if you think it should be put on the template. I don't have the authorization to edit it. --TECHNO-- Talk / Contrib 22:14, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

This looks good. I'll put it in when I get home. --User:Charitwo/Sig 22:24, 27 November 2007 (UTC)

This is done. --User:Charitwo/Sig 18:16, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

I'm at work on lolowresolution computers, I'll give it a look when I get home. Design is very nice though. --User:Charitwo/Sig 18:16, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

It looks better now that it's left-justified. The bottom was sticking behind the NM table before because of that huge picture. Also, that's some pretty important info and I would rather see it on the left than the right.

Aside from that, I have one criticism. I don't like the icons for the weaknesses. For the elemental weaknesses or strengths, it's fine. I know what those are and so would anyone else. Not everyone knows that type of damage a weapon does. Also, you run into issues with "Ok, is that a dagger or a sword?" Sure, you could put a tool tip, but I'd rather you be able to tell at a glance.

So, that's my opinion, though you didn't really ask for it. =P --TECHNO-- Talk / Contrib 18:31, 28 November 2007 (UTC)

I undid the changes to made to the Pankration/Pit Monsters page and the discussion page.
You carelessly erased half the information we collected over the span of months, and replaced it with a wall of text.. the very reason we kept the overabundance of data on the talk page. (It also doesn't view well on smaller resolutions, due to the new layout.) If you have suggestions to improve the page, please start a topic on the talk page. --Seedling 12:26, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Hello

I was wondering if you could send me a email about my account (on the forums) which was auto-banned on the FFXIclopedia forums. There seemed to have been a problem with a post. I had http in it and tried posting too many times. If you could send me an email to korbendallas68 at yahoo.com and I'll let you know the use name and what ever else.

I found this is the only way to contact you about it.

Thanks!!!

Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I haven't been around and will continue to be absent for a while because my state and city have been badly damaged by ice storms. Our power has been out for 6 days now and it doesn't look to be restored anytime soon. I'm currently at the public library using their Wi-Fi. Anyway, that's it. Just wanted to let you know what was going on. --TECHNO-- Talk / Contrib 16:40, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Eveline is upset over the fact that I marked 4 images of his/hers uploaded for deletion on central wiki per their image policy, I left a note on their talk page redirecting this person the respective userpage here where such information would be more appropriate and linked to our image policy (as she uploaded 4 of them over there). This was met with vandalizing my user talk page on central wikia and the rude comment you noticed here. --User:Charitwo/Sig 01:19, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

Why did someone have to show up in the office, I was so close! --User:Charitwo/Sig 14:41, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

Can you paste the code in my Sandbox at the top of the sitenotice? I'd do it myself but for some reason it just won't work! Merry Christmas ;) --User:Charitwo/Sig 07:35, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

Incrementing the sitenotice id won't work (or at least it didn't for me here at work) when you have something other than a number in the page. You have == Headline Text == in there. --User:Charitwo/Sig 15:24, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

Please find a place for FFXIclopedia:Site problems in the sitenotice and increment the id, please. I was asked by staff to setup a list of problems since the upgrade for the community to post at, like when we moved. Still can't seem to edit those blasted mediawiki pages either, so please help me out. --User:Charitwo/Sig 03:05, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Hmmm... I don't like it.

I realize it was made for the custom skin, but it looks blocky and cramped if you're still using monobook. Do you think you could make it look good in both skins? I know I'm not the only one that likes the old skin, and I'd hate for it to start to be abandoned (it really just needs a background and some changing up to look as good as the new skin, but that's a different discussion). ~ Karuberu 01:08, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Please remove "irc.cgi" from Navlinks and Sidebar. --User:Charitwo/Sig 02:22, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

hey thx

Getting piled up, 1+ month old. when you have time thanks --User:Charitwo/Sig 23:24, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Hi, maybe you want to go over my Deletion suggestions regarding images. This talk section can be removed asap without further notice :) By the way any comments on my work schedule (the comments i use for edit, the quality I provide (working with advpng compression 4) etc) on my talk page would be appreciated. --Elvaron 18:46, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Hm. Well, regarding the colon thing... I normally prefer to use the colon because that way the page thats linking to the new image isn't displayed on the new image... --Pandora Xero Is Not A Bot 20:20, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Great work on the new zone info box, it looks massively better than the old one. Is there anything you cvan do to make it render better on small screens: [1] (make the "Zone Information" box overflow below the ToC and description if it is too wide?).

Also, while I'm here, I've noticed that a number of youtube videos are no longer in existence as the user account hosting them has removed them. Is there any standard way of flsgging them up for attention? TheMysteriousX 21:54, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

I made the map subpage interactive, so one less thing to do. --◄Chrisjander► t/ c 20:18, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Just to let you know, #ffxiclopedia was added to the Wikia Gaming IRC gateway at http://irc.wikia.com/gaming/ You might want to change the links at MediaWiki:Irc-url and MediaWiki:Navlinks to reflect that. It should cut down on the confusion of what channel to pick. --Uberfuzzy 17:45, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Please check User Avengail's last Contributions, they seem kind of messy to the point where you could call it vandalism, without pointing fingers. --Elvaron 06:08, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

Not vandalism, just a little strategy adding and unfamiliarity with policy on article creation, usually placing {{Welcome}} on the talk page and a note if necessary is sufficient enough. --User:Charitwo/Sig 12:32, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
