Suggestion: try BLU! If you liked BLM, BLU is like a melee BLM :D --Picket 00:39, 17 November 2006 (EST)
I don't care for BLU. I don't see it as much of a comparison to BLM. BLM is very specific, cast spells for high damage. BLU really doesn't do a whole lot of that. While yes, learning Monster Correlation would be a good thing (most BLUs have no idea how that works), I just don't see it being good for me. I've only really seen 1-2 GOOD BLUs since I started playing, and well, I don't really feel like proving the point myself. That and learning spells is retardedly stupid. --Toxictaru 03:13, 17 November 2006 (EST)
Suppanomimi
I got a question for ya... why the Suppanomimi and the Rajas Ring? Working on melee jobs? I can't talk, I chose the Suppa too, because I have 65 NIN and would like to use it on him. How difficult was your COP choice? I'm back and forth between the INT ring and the Rajas Ring... <twiddles fingers> --Strongkupo 16:03, 5 March 2007 (EST)
It made more sense to take the rings and earrings that gave real tangible benefits. No reason to pick an Earring that gives me +2 INT when I could buy one thats just as good (granted, Scythe skill sucked to lose, but I have no plans to use DRK in end-game). Rajas was more of the same. I wanted to do MNK, WAR, and a few others, and Rajas really just suited me better. Tamas is fine if you are a career mage (and even then, it really only benefits a RDM), but the benefits are just not there. My recommmendation to anyone who completes CoP these days is to pick Rajas if they have plans on leveling melee jobs (if they haven't got one already). My point? When I got Rajas, I could only REALLY use it on ONE job (NIN), but now, I tend to use it nearly fulltime on MNK, and its absolutely amazing. Of course, if you are a career tank, get a Sattva, no questions asked. --Toxictaru 16:19, 5 March 2007 (EST)
Broken links that you fixed
Sorry about that, I must have missed your page. But those links were broken due to some unnecessary redirects being deleted. --Charitwo 15:01, 16 March 2007 (EDT)
Haha, np. I saw them there, kinda wondering what happened. Fixed them up myself. All was well :) I was a bit confused as to why it happened, but some quick searches made that a simple fix ;P --Toxictaru 15:09, 16 March 2007 (EDT)
Change of heart, I see. I'm only trying to help, but it is your page after all. If I see another one and it stays untouched for a while, I'll just drop a reminder on your talk page. Thanks for letting me know. --Charitwo 21:50, 21 April 2007 (EDT)
Fallen Egg
If the target is how you say it is, put up a move request on the article. I personally have never seen the target one way or the other. --Charitwo 12:25, 7 May 2007 (CDT)
Quest Link
On your quest log, the Norg quest A Thief in Norg!? should display with the lowercase i, the capitalized version will be broken. --Charitwo 10:46, 9 May 2007 (CDT)
Due to a recent move and inevitable deletion, the link [[Axe The Competion]] will need changed to Axe the Competition. --User:Charitwo/Sig 18:30, 4 June 2007 (CDT)
User Image
You will need to resize that image, user images must be 30KB or less. --Charitwo 11:18, 12 May 2007 (CDT)
I'm just warning you before it's deleted, if you don't believe me why don't you check the image policy. --Charitwo 11:32, 12 May 2007 (CDT)
You have a very bad attitude, I was nice and left a message on your talk page, but instead I'm just going to tag it for violation of the image policy. --Charitwo 11:38, 12 May 2007 (CDT)
My Mandau
You can make that change if you want. I'm not going out of my way to seek anonymity, but at the same time I'm not going out of my way to seek recognition either. So it's one of those, "if someone else does it cool, if not cool" type of things. Thanks for asking first :) --Divisortheory 21:01, 17 May 2007 (CDT)
Personal Attack
I invite you to review FFXIclopedia:Inappropriate Behavior per your edit to User talk:Zackan2002. --User:Charitwo/Sig 08:29, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
I never said I was one, nor do I need to be one to remind you of policies. Also, I don't appreciate the threatening talk page edits either. Thanks for your understanding. --User:Charitwo/Sig 11:26, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
Personally, I like how he uses "Thanks for your understanding." which was something CJ and I started using way back when I was an admin to make the harshness of what we were saying sound 10x better. Cracks me up. Your little spiel to the above user could have used that... Next time don't get pissy with the newbie... just ask him to ask you first and if you say no then he shouldn't - its about respect and no one can respect someone who 1) takes without asking or giving credit where credit is deserved (see Eleri's page in which she credited me - that is good politics and behavior - go Eleri), 2) responds without considering the feelings or actions of the person in question (tsk tsk, should have given a link to the don't bite the newbies but he probably couldn't since that would by hypocritical plus that picture was hysterical), 3)acts better than he is. While we are all guilty of these things at some point, one should learn from ones mistakes and respect the other person as best as one can. Stealing is horrible, but there are much worse things out there, like hypocrisy which many people are guilty of. Just relax Dearie, and tone it down or you will end up like me. :) <insert picture of stress ball here> BTW congrats on WHM 66... What gear are you using anyways? :) --Nynaeve 13:03, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- I'm not getting pissy at a newbie, per se. This guy started on the forums badly, and then continued to spiral. Granted, I don't currently credit you on my userpage with giving the quest list, it was only removed when you were deleted for a while (I didn't want red links on my page x.x). I'm quite relaxed, but this guy bothers me on multiple levels. There is also charitwo, but we've talked about that privately. Also, as for WHM, its actually 69 now (lazy about updating), and gear wise, I'm using HQ staves, Easter MP Egg, Gold Hairpin (signed by me!), Beak Necklace, Antivenom/Insomnia, Nobles, AF hands, Electrum/Ether (can't afford serket, and sold astrals for money), Blue Cape, some +hMP/MP lv42 waist piece (its good for what its worth, just holding on till Hierarch), and AF legs and feet (I have blessed legs for 70, feet will be the same until either Errant or Rostrums). Thats about it. --TtOaXrIuCTC 13:53, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- Also, all said, none of this matters anyway. The user in question edited it off of his page anyway. --TtOaXrIuCTC 14:05, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- [Understood] /comfort.... Still could have used my catch phrase - "Thanks for understanding." - it always made me sound nicer than well I really wanted to be. :) Hmmm I am 66 currently - got bored with leveling it for a 3rd time and am now many playing BLM when I have time - I mean I am seeking right now but keep having to go AFK to work. My WHM has: Apollo's; Holy Ampulla; Currently my AF Hat; Promise Badge/Grandiose Chain; Geist Earringsx2/Antivenom for healing on one; AF Body/Seers Tunic+1; Af Hands <3; Serenity Ringsx2; Red Cape +1/Invigorating Cape; Reverand's Sash/Qiqirn's +1; AF Legs/Barons; Mannequin Boots. I have my Nobles and Blessid Ready... I am just so lazy/busy I haven't leveled up yet... I have enough coins from Limbus now to get my AF+1 Hands just have to get her to get up CoP so I can use her rather than my other WHM in Limbus - stuck on 3 Paths again... And I have my Antlion Trap, again haven't gotten around to doing that yet... but I am a ways away from 75 - this character was just for fun and stress relief so I am taking me time. How does going for MP rather than MND work for you? I am just too biased to do it and never really run out of MP the way I play so I haven't had a need but... dunno. As a taru...
- Ah and well - it is the users or an admins place to remove something from their own user talk page/user page... so As long as it was him and not someone else assuming he has the right to edit other peoples things - I guess its not a problem... ;) --Nynaeve 14:16, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- I've always been a firm believer in using MP gear. While I understand the benefits of MND, I just see MP being far more beneficial. I have 1013 MP on BLM sub right now, which is great, it feels unlimited, and I never ever worry about it. And my cures seem to hit for enough anyway, so it just works for me. I guess there are two schools of thought for WHM though, stacking MND or stacking MP. I've seen both work, and I just prefer having lots and lots of MP :P Now if I had SMN sub, I'd probably spend more time working on MND gear, but obviously, I don't ;) I want to get AF+1 hands for WHM so that I can just leave all of my WHM gear in storage, but I'm not doing limbus these days, and I don't have anything towards a WHM set at all (no coins, no pieces). Life goes on I guess D: --TtOaXrIuCTC 14:21, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- I can understand that completely. I just like to resist spells - I rarely get paralyzed or silenced... I have a high cure potency in general... can't wait to get that Mace @ 71 so that I can use my Numinous +1 again.. <3'd that thing... --Nynaeve 14:26, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- Hehe, I'd love to have that setup. I just don't want to invest more money in to WHM than I already have. I don't particularly like the job, I just want to have another job at 75. I'm addicted to that number ;) And of course, resisting stuff is a good thing, but I rarely deal with mobs that actually cast anything on me these days. I don't think Tantara can be resisted through +MND gear, sadly :( Although, I'm up for testing, but I think because it is a TP attack and not a spell, it can't be resisted through stats and instead only through traits (e.g. BRD Resist Silence). Meh, no big deal :) --TtOaXrIuCTC 14:29, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- I don't know. I have yet to get in a fight with one... Will have to seeeeee..... --Nynaeve 14:32, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- They're SOOOO much fun (sarcasm). They're just good EXP, all said. They still suck. --TtOaXrIuCTC 14:33, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- Just fought them for kicks - does look like an ability that I had no chance to resist... Damn Imps.... --Nynaeve 17:04, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- Lol, I'm fighting them right now. Really laid back, finally. They get really easy later on. Silence sucks, but its small range. --TtOaXrIuCTC 17:05, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- Just fought them for kicks - does look like an ability that I had no chance to resist... Damn Imps.... --Nynaeve 17:04, 26 May 2007 (CDT)
- Just read that forum thread... I think I am going to go /wrist and cry now. I see now I really see. --Nynaeve 02:22, 28 May 2007 (CDT)
- Yeah, I didn't go off without reason. I'm not THAT mean ;P --TtOaXrIuCTC 12:03, 28 May 2007 (CDT)
Userbox Template
For some reason, it might not be the same for whatever resolution you're on, it displays the userboxes
{{User Linkshell|Driven}}
{{Citizen of Bastok2}}
{{San d'Oria Fame|10|9}}
{{Windurst Fame|8|9}}
with the icons overlapping your user picture. Might want to take a look at that. --User:Charitwo/Sig 11:25, 4 June 2007 (CDT)
It varies, I use 4 different computers, this one being the lowest at 1024 x 768. --User:Charitwo/Sig 11:30, 4 June 2007 (CDT)
I managed to fix it so it displays properly, with your permission, may I go ahead and save the page? --User:Charitwo/Sig 22:53, 29 June 2007 (CDT)
Gah, why does it look good in preview but the same when saved. Oh well, I guess you're cursed! :(
Item Pages
A note when creating new item pages, I don't know where you copied from but
- if something doesn't stack it's "Not Stackable" not "No"
- Other Uses section were not wikified
- Used in Recipes section needed Unknown italicized
Thanks! --User:Charitwo/Sig 08:05, 6 June 2007 (CDT)
Also, you are placing 10 in Used in Recipes section, that is no good. --User:Charitwo/Sig 08:39, 6 June 2007 (CDT)
I'm reminding you so you don't continue to make the same mistake. How about you tone down your attitude as well. Thanks for your understanding. --User:Charitwo/Sig 08:42, 6 June 2007 (CDT)
It would be best for you to comply with the Item Template, mistakes can be made, yes, but you are making them on purpose. --User:Charitwo/Sig 08:51, 6 June 2007 (CDT)
- Pages are being added for new items which are great. They will need to be edited for a number of reasons (formatting, information, etc.). The beauty of a wiki is that this can be done easily, by anyone. The fewer problems with the initial entry the better, but getting the information in is important. For all three of you, just remember policies of Assume Good Faith and Civility. Thanks. --GAHOO t/ c 08:56, 6 June 2007 (CDT)
Permission
I'm somewhat on a wiki noob, and your userpage has impressed me the most. I'm going to use it as a template for my own, but if you feel that this is innapprorpriate, contact me straightaway and I will remove and reconstruct my page. Thank you! - Bhujerba
(edit) I've finished up my userpage and the only thing I basically did similar to yours was the userpic. Thanks for the "Go Ahead," though, toxic. You're a very helpful & kind user.
Quest
The Die is Cast should be The Die Is Cast - It was moved improperly from the correct to the incorrect and I have a SS to prove it so should watch for it to be changed back to prevent the red linkage you hate. --Nynaeve 17:49, 20 June 2007 (CDT)
Recent Moves and Deletions
If you have a problem with the recent moves and deletions, take it up with the admins, as we're the ones that actually delete and move them. We don't do this blindly, we know it leaves red links on userpages. We don't find this to be a major problem. Charitwo and Wakya are only tagging these pages, something which any editor can do, and those that warrant deletion or renaming, get renamed or deleted. We've chosen to leave userpages alone for many reasons, primarily because many people don't like their userpages toyed with. If you're concerned about red links, all you have to do is change them. The administration is making these moves and deletions to correct problems so the wiki conforms with both our naming policies, and the in-game text. Instead of objecting to other editors helping us achieve this, you could also tag relevant pages that need to be moved or deleted and help us make the wiki run smoother.
Secondly, personal attacks, such as the ones you placed on User talk:Charitwo are not tolerated. Consider this a warning. --◄Chrisjander► t/ c 22:34, 20 June 2007 (CDT)
I would just like to butt in here and say I think one of the reasons he hasn't edited all the User Pages like you suggested on CJs talk page is this. I mean, I think it should be up to the owner of the page-quest log-user page etc to maintain his own and notice changes and red links themselves. I notice them all right away in fact I had the correct spellings on most of them to begin with a while ago had CJ change some to the correct way but I never went and told other people that it was wrong and being deleted. I just simply feel that people, if they want to keep these logs, should maintain them and part of that is fixing bad links since to begin with they should have had them right. I am not attacking your way of thought on this - I am just explaining my view and why Chari probably stopped doing what he did before and got guff from. --Nynaeve 18:00, 21 June 2007 (CDT)
I started changing them outright and got negative feedback from people, then I started notifying people on talk page and got negative feedback for that. I discussed this with Mierin and he says I can ignore pages in the user namespace based on the aforementioned reference link(there are others too, see Mierin's talk page). If there is a problem, please take it up with him. --User:Charitwo/Sig
- I'm not asking anyone to change my user-page. I'm asking for someone to leave a NOTE on my talk page that "hey, we broke these links". I can get messages from people just by refreshing a page on the wiki, but I'm not always looking at my quest log to see if someone has broken something again. This isn't much to ask, as he is already doing it for most users (Eleri specifically gets messages nearly every time he breaks a link on her page, yet I have absolutely no idea/warning when it happens to me). --TtOaXrIuCTC 08:18, 22 June 2007 (CDT)

Talk:Armor Sets/Assault Armor
I take offense to your comments on the Talk:Armor Sets/Assault Armor page. While I generally dislike poiting to policies, here I suggest reviewing both FFXIclopedia:Appropriate Behavior and FFXIclopedia:Inappropriate Behavior:Personal Attacks. If you have a problem with my "votes" please feel free to contact me diretcly. To imply that my vote was somehow biased (by someone I partied with probably a year ago) is insulting and untrue. I pride myself on being neutral in all discussions here, and will continue to do my best to act in a way that I believe is both fair and best furthers the goals of the FFXIclopedia. --GAHOO t/ c 11:04, 12 July 2007 (CDT)
Job Levels Table Template
I liked the Job Levels Table on your page and decided to steal it >.>
After a bit of an XP binge, I got tired of re-calculating the percentages and figuring out where to perform edits, and I needed a fun project to learn a bit about Wiki anyways, so I created Template:JobLevels.
Just an FYI, and a thanks for the inspiration. --Thoreau 01:30, 26 September 2007 (UTC)
The founders and administrators of FFXIclopedia and Eorzeapedia, together with the podcast gurus over at Pet Food Alpha, Limit Break Radio and the Aetheryte Radio Network - are excited to announce their newest project - Gamerescape.com. Gamer Escape draws upon, and expands on, our collective experiences. We're combining the wiki platforms where you can get your information, podcasting platforms where you can listen to your favorite podcasting personalities, wordpress/news platform so you can quickly see what is going on with your favorite game, and of course, forums to allow you to discuss everything game related with the community.
What does that mean for FFXIclopedia?
We've copied the FFXIclopedia wiki content over to Gamerescape in order to seed and expand upon the wiki over there. FFXIclopedia will, of course, remain at Wikia and remain open and available for editing. To be clear, while there have been a few rather public departures from Wikia in the past few months, they are not a factor in our decision. The reality is that Wikia provides a great service for wikis and was a fine home for the past few years. They allow anyone with one click to try their hand at starting a wiki and a community. That is invaluable and, looking at Wikia's growth, has served them well. In light of some the recent public departures, we feel it was important to make this clear.
We are making this announcement because (i) we are truly excited about what we're launching; and (ii) you, the community, should know that the founders and some of the current admins and moderators will not be here, but will be developing the FFXI wiki/forums over at gamerescape.
What else is over at Gamerescape?
In addition to the content from the FFXIclopedia wiki, we have integrated Eorzeapedia - so all of your FFXI and FFXIV information is on the same site, just a click or two away. Also, in addition to FFXI and FFXIV, we've launched WakfuEscape, a platform dedicated to the upcoming Wakfu MMO (distributed by Square Enix). Complete with news platforms, forums and podcasts - we're continuing in our efforts to provide a site where you can get all of your gaming information without having to jump from site to site.
We've learned a lot since 2004 when we started FFXIclopedia, a lot of which is reflected in our new FFXIV and Wakfu wikis. We remain nothing more than a group of gamers at heart who enjoy playing games and helping the community develop a resource for those games. We're looking forward to continuing that effort over at GamerEscape.com. We hope to see all of you there.
PS. For those that have an Eorzeapedia.com account - your log-in credentials should work at any GamerEscape.com site.
