Thanks for helping clean up the Quests and Jeuno Quests categories by removing those categories from so many Magian Trial pages!--Blue Donkey Kong (talk) 01:49, December 30, 2013 (UTC)

Hi Leauce,

I readded the side quests category to the non-quest log artifact/relic quests for that reason (they aren't in the quest log), which is how we're defining side quests ("Side quests are events/goals in Final Fantasy XI that do not appear in the quest log, but share a structure similar to quests").

I didn't readd the category to the RoE Quests though, since they're technically in the quest log (the Records of Eminence menu) and therefore they fit in that category. I originally categorized them as side quests because they have the distinction of being more quest-like and story-related than other RoE objectives. --Blue Donkey Kong (talk) 01:27, October 20, 2014 (UTC)

Added note: I think it is important to categorize these non-logged artifact miniquests as side quests because quest completionists would have no reason to view the Category:Artifact Quests, because all "true" artifact quests are also categorized as Bastok Quests, Jeuno Quests, etc. The Side Quests page is our own little category for quests that aren't logged in-game, and should not exclude artifact side quests. That way, a completionist need only visit the in-game quest categories and then one other page, Side Quests, to see all of their quest-like goals for FFXI.--Blue Donkey Kong (talk) 01:35, October 20, 2014 (UTC)
