Map image

Can you check out Image talk:Periqia CS.jpg, the map image you uploaded doesn't seem to be for the correct assault. --Wayka †Talk† 06:15, 22 May 2007 (CDT)

Image:Ilrusi Atoll SM - Lost and Found.jpg

Would it be possible to re-upload that image without the blue help text banner and red "where am I" marker? --User:Charitwo/Sig 20:13, 9 July 2007 (CDT)

If I had it that way I would have, but I didn't think about it until after I was out of the assault. --Ikonic(Talk/Contrib) 20:42, 9 July 2007 (CDT)

Item Page Formatting

It only says Quests (plural) when more than one quest is listed, otherwise it's just Quest (singular). Also, line breaks serve no purpose directly above section dividers, they don't belong there. --User:Charitwo/Sig 12:37, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

I copied existing formatting for a majority of similar pages to make them all the same (for relic-1 pages). I'll make sure to correct any future edits. --Ikonic(Talk/Contrib) 13:13, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Yea, it's a pain when people copy directly from other pages especially when they're wrong, that's why it's such a big deal when you start editing a batch of pages then I have to go back and fix it so other people don't copy you. It's monkey see monkey do around here, lol.
Usually use a bot to batch edit all item pages to comply with the Item Template, but a bot can't guess whether the other uses has 2 or more quests listed, etc. --User:Charitwo/Sig 13:21, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Would this mean that the Stackable: section also shouldn't be there for all the -1 armor? --Ikonic(Talk/Contrib) 13:25, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
It really doesn't hurt anything, and I don't mind it being there, some people might think it stacks and then look at it and say "Oh, hey, it doesn't." But seeing how it is exclusive, it should be obvious that it doesn't stack. But it seems tedious when the majority of them already have that information anyway. I'd ask Karu for a clearcut answer, he's more anal than I am about item page formatting. If he says no, just go back and remove them all. --User:Charitwo/Sig 13:39, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

The founders and administrators of FFXIclopedia and Eorzeapedia, together with the podcast gurus over at Pet Food Alpha, Limit Break Radio and the Aetheryte Radio Network - are excited to announce their newest project - Gamerescape.com. Gamer Escape draws upon, and expands on, our collective experiences. We're combining the wiki platforms where you can get your information, podcasting platforms where you can listen to your favorite podcasting personalities, wordpress/news platform so you can quickly see what is going on with your favorite game, and of course, forums to allow you to discuss everything game related with the community.

What does that mean for FFXIclopedia?

We've copied the FFXIclopedia wiki content over to Gamerescape in order to seed and expand upon the wiki over there. FFXIclopedia will, of course, remain at Wikia and remain open and available for editing. To be clear, while there have been a few rather public departures from Wikia in the past few months, they are not a factor in our decision. The reality is that Wikia provides a great service for wikis and was a fine home for the past few years. They allow anyone with one click to try their hand at starting a wiki and a community. That is invaluable and, looking at Wikia's growth, has served them well. In light of some the recent public departures, we feel it was important to make this clear.

We are making this announcement because (i) we are truly excited about what we're launching; and (ii) you, the community, should know that the founders and some of the current admins and moderators will not be here, but will be developing the FFXI wiki/forums over at gamerescape.

What else is over at Gamerescape?

In addition to the content from the FFXIclopedia wiki, we have integrated Eorzeapedia - so all of your FFXI and FFXIV information is on the same site, just a click or two away. Also, in addition to FFXI and FFXIV, we've launched WakfuEscape, a platform dedicated to the upcoming Wakfu MMO (distributed by Square Enix). Complete with news platforms, forums and podcasts - we're continuing in our efforts to provide a site where you can get all of your gaming information without having to jump from site to site.

We've learned a lot since 2004 when we started FFXIclopedia, a lot of which is reflected in our new FFXIV and Wakfu wikis. We remain nothing more than a group of gamers at heart who enjoy playing games and helping the community develop a resource for those games. We're looking forward to continuing that effort over at GamerEscape.com. We hope to see all of you there.

PS. For those that have an Eorzeapedia.com account - your log-in credentials should work at any GamerEscape.com site.
