Aw damn, Wayka beat me to it. --TECHNO-- Talk / Contrib 17:49, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

Special:Contributions/ChesterJT created a flaming page about another user. What is this, the night for jackasses? --TECHNO-- Talk / Contrib 23:56, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

I'm sorry to bother you with petty crap like this, but you probably ought to know, just in case someone else decides to send you a message. After I marked the spam page for deletion last night ChesterJT decided to make things worse for himself, went back to the page, and made some rude comments about me. Wayka reverted them and now I see that the page is entirely gone, so it's not an issue. However, I guess this guy is under the mistaken impression that I have the ability to ban him, as though I wouldn't have done it immediately after the incident. >.> He got his friend Valle to plead his case on my talk page not to ban him for his practical joke (which he admits he knew not to do). I responded a few minutes ago by telling Valla that it was pointless for ChesterJT to insult me or to try to discuss the problem with me as I'm only the reporting patroller and have few real powers. I then directed Valla to you. So, if you get a message from Valla or ChesterJT, now you know what's up. Try to have a nice day. ^^ --TECHNO-- Talk / Contrib 21:14, 25 August 2007 (CDT)
I did think Techno could ban people. I was thinking that anyone putting up such templates would be empowered to ban. In hindsight, I suppose that was stupid of me. Oh well. I read your reply to my talk page, and thought that was that and I wouldn't reply again make more of an issue out of it. Reading the following messages on Tekno's talk page and here though, I feel like I have to clear up a few minor points. First of all, no, I'm not a sockpuppet :P Second, ChesterJT didn't send me to plead his case. He told he thought he might get banned, and I took it upon myself to make a comment on your talk page about the whole thing. I was trying to say that warning in the "two strikes and you're out" category was one thing, but he shouldn't be banned outright for a harmless joke, in light of that he normally tries to help out with edits to wiki and not vandalize it. Of course, the wiki admins will do what they deem right. Take care, and have a nice evening. --Valle 16:48, 26 August 2007 (CDT)

Speedy Delete

It's like you were a snake over my shoulder waiting to strike, that deletion time was unprecedented >_> --User:Charitwo/Sig 08:13, 10 August 2007 (CDT)

Software Limitations

Without paying much attention, I seemed to have overlooked the ampersand in User:Nessa&Alex before saving and it was too late. What's the policy on software limited characters in usernames? Seeing as how the user rename feature doesn't work. --User:Charitwo/Sig 08:20, 10 August 2007 (CDT)

That's kinda what I figured, the only solution appears to be to force them to remake their account with a non-ip block, stating the reason as Software limitations? --User:Charitwo/Sig 08:23, 10 August 2007 (CDT)

Try using %26 instead of &. For reference see Percent-encoding. --User:Charitwo/Sig 08:39, 10 August 2007 (CDT)

Please see MediaWiki talk:Signupend. This will place this text below the form used to register, for placing it at the top of the page, that is MediaWiki:Gotaccount, however that is inside the actual table used to enclose the form. --User:Charitwo/Sig 11:21, 10 August 2007 (CDT)

Map Checklist

Nice, I like it. The only improvements I could see would be changing the "Done" to something more appropriate ("Obtained" for example) and removing the "Map of" from the usage to save some space. ~ Karuberu 20:02, 10 August 2007 (CDT)

Ix'Aern

uhhhh...look at the history revisions and the talk page --User:Charitwo/Sig 19:34, 11 August 2007 (CDT)

Ascalon

Hrm, well I do seem to like the way articles such as the ones I listed on Chris's talk page were displayed, and there are articles that are not, but the same can be said for other articles with different information that still needs to be formatted. What do you think of stuff like Flame Degen vs. Ascalon? --User:Charitwo/Sig 11:51, 13 August 2007 (CDT)

Protected Article Changes

Image:Battle System Adjustments (08-14-2007).jpg and Image:Battle System Adjustments (08-14-2007)-1.jpg both need the {{Protected-SE}} template applied to them. --User:Charitwo/Sig 11:12, 14 August 2007 (CDT)

On the subject of protected articles, defined as an extreme measure, used only in the cases of the Main Page, policy pages, MediaWiki namespace(autoprotected anyway), SE News Articles and the images associated with them, and Edit War cooldown periods. The following pages should be unprotected on this pretext:

  1. User:Ganiman
  2. User:Gahoo
  3. White Mage Guide by Nynaeve
  4. White Mage Guide by Nynaeve/Races
  5. White Mage Guide by Nynaeve/Food

These are the only ones I know of, or remember, that do not meet the above criteria. If I find more I will post them here. --User:Charitwo/Sig 11:48, 15 August 2007 (CDT)

Adminstrators have discretion when it comes to protecting pages... especially their own userpages. Nynaeve's white mage guide is protected to prevent vandalism (which it has received quite a bit of in the past). Obviously, continued protection has indeed "protected" those pages from further vandalism. --◄Chrisjander► t/ c 14:43, 15 August 2007 (CDT)

Is that why only 3/8 pages of the guide are protected? Recently the only edits were trying to add {{guide}} to the subpages, but that issue should be resolved. Anyways, I don't see any of the above as targets of vandalism, and if and when it does happen, it can easily be reverted and the offender dealt with accordingly. Just a thought. --User:Charitwo/Sig 19:14, 15 August 2007 (CDT)

I'm scared to correct a typo in Nynaeve's Guide/Macros.. lol (Teir -> Tier). I saw so many people trying to mark it as a guide. :p ~ Goddess ~ TalkContrib 18:56, 17 August 2007 (CDT)

Editing Others' Userpages

How far exactly will the "Editing someone else's userpage in good faith" protect us? Just several things I've noticed, like links that are typed wrong, or moving a page causing others' links to break. Am I at liberty to fix them (without disrupting the other content of the page, of course)? I've been doing a few here and there, but I'm not sure if that's crossing the line. Thanks ~ Goddess ~ TalkContrib 18:56, 17 August 2007 (CDT)

Chat

Can you check IRC when you get the chance? I figured I might get you here if you aren't around there. Thanks :) (Delete this comment if you want) --TtOaXrIuCTC 09:12, 22 August 2007 (CDT)

User Pic

I see you have a userpic. Is there a way you can resize it to 30KB or less, or do you want me to overlook it? --◄Chrisjander► t/ c 09:42, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

Heh, KB (kilobyte) = 1,000 bytes (give or take). So 140,000 bytes would be ~140 KB. I see you've made the issue moot though ;). --◄Chrisjander► t/ c 11:27, 24 August 2007 (CDT)

Version Update

Possible to squeeze a box in sitenotice for the update/new items, etc? --User:Charitwo/Sig 17:31, 27 August 2007 (CDT)

On the new item list, for Soulsoother Head and Spiritreaver Head, there is no indication of a + or - for the elemental resistance. And what's even more mind boggling is the 0 value for Fire, Lightning, and Dark. Did it get extracted wrong? --User:Charitwo/Sig 11:51, 29 August 2007 (CDT)

Job Progress

Looks awesome, excellent job. I have no idea how you did it, you will have to teach me sometime XD --Spops 13:41, 29 August 2007 (CDT)

Heya. Just added a few templates to simplify things about the job levels %. Using your new Template:Job Progress as an example, it can be used to make it easier on the user. Like so:

{{Template:Job Progress
| Bard Level =
| Bard Desired Level =
| Bard Unlocked =
}}

Would just need to modify your Percent Bar tables to:

width:{{Percent Done|{{{Bard Desired Level}}}|{{{Bard Level}}}}}%;

and

width:{{Percent Remaining|{{{Bard Desired Level}}}|{{{Bard Level}}}}}%;

Thats just one example... Im sure it will be usefull --Daniel 14:25, 29 August 2007 (CDT)

I can also do it for you if you would prefer? lol --Daniel 15:48, 29 August 2007 (CDT)

Update Items

Someone has been creating pages for all chocobo racing-related items, but with abbreviated names. Instead of me posting {{Move}} on all of them, it might be easier for you to have a look at them all at once ;) User:Sigma/Sig 16:24, 29 August 2007 (CDT)
