Be sure when you add that a mob drops a particular item that it's true - not all mobs of the same type do drop the same items. If you're using allakhazam, they claim they all drop the same things, but they don't necessarily. For example, the Ghouls in the maze of shakhrami - are you sure they drop the skull..? I camped them for a couple of hours one day, trying to get the chest key for that one quest and never got a magicked skull. But I also could have been in an area where the warrior types weren't spawning. Just wanna make sure you're aware (I wasn't for a while >.< ) Not trying to harp on you!!! Good work on the wiki! ^_^

Ahh, kk. Just making sure! Always good to be able to quickly add those drops the other sites missed. You seem to know more than me >.< So I'll just shut my mouth now :-P

Ghouls in Shakrami drop skull. They're just so spread out that it's inefficient.

I recommend the southwestern tower of Horutoto if you want skulls...drop like candy there, no competition.Feba 12:03, 19 June 2006 (PDT)

Affiliate?

Hello, I've read through your blog on chocobo digging, and was inspired to keep a blog of my own, on my work towards creating the ultimate raised chocobo. http://urats-chocobo-blog.blogspot.com.
I was wondering if you would like to affiliate with me? I'd very much enjoy hooking my site up to other chocobo raising guides/sites. Please reply or email me at lionhart180@hotmail.com.

Thank you <(^o^)>/

Templates

You've been doing a good job adding some mobs and other info in. If you'd like, there are some templates already made that can help you make it look crisp. See Useful Templates

About Category:Elementals...

You know, if you have proof that that thing about "all elemental death=current weather ends" is true, you can just remove that whole bullet and no one would be the wiser. XD

I'd heard about it on KI and wondered. I didn't trust it completely, though, hence why I said it was unconfirmed...Was waiting for someone to disprove it.

What was the data you found that struck that one dead? I'm curious. --Maledict 18:39, 25 Dec 2005 (PST)

Re: proof

Yeah, I see...Standard mob behavior where that's concerned, nothing fancy.

Since there's nothing out of the ordinary, I'll just edit down or kill that bullet. Thanks! --Maledict 10:08, 27 Dec 2005 (PST)

Out of Town

I will be out of town from 30 June through 9 July 2006 due to a family vacation. I will have limited internet access (if I'm lucky) and no access to FFXI during this time. -- 29 June 2006, Ayrlie.

The Ultimate Guide to Chocobo Digging on FFXI

Our Chocobo Digging page is awful. Your guide above is teriffic. Mind if we use it here? I think it can come over pretty much as is, although I think the references to the first person should be replaced. Let me know. I can port it over or you can if you would prefer. I would perfer that it go into Chocobo Digging article (as opposed to a "guide by xxx"). --Gahoo 15:51, 5 December 2006 (EST)

Khimaira Jambiya skill cap

Hello. I'm just in the middle of trying to update all of the recipe lists on the craft pages.

A few other sites have the skill cap of the Khimaira Jambiya listed at 98 Bonecraft. But I noticed that you originally changed the cap here to 100 Bonecraft, and people changed it back to 98. I'd like to know if you actually agree that it's 98 Bonecraft now, or if not, then what reasoning did you have to change it to 100? --Lunarcurtain 09:21, 3 May 2007 (CDT)

Chocobo Digging in ToAU areas

Just curious if the Bore getting ores and Burrow getting logs in Bhaflau Thickets and Wajaom Woodlands is really true. In every other zone, the abilities are reversed. I can't check myself, because my only diggers have both abilities. --Tinuvael 22:30, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

Thanks for clearing that up. I'll be sure not to switch it back later. ^^ --Tinuvael 22:41, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

The founders and administrators of FFXIclopedia and Eorzeapedia, together with the podcast gurus over at Pet Food Alpha, Limit Break Radio and the Aetheryte Radio Network - are excited to announce their newest project - Gamerescape.com. Gamer Escape draws upon, and expands on, our collective experiences. We're combining the wiki platforms where you can get your information, podcasting platforms where you can listen to your favorite podcasting personalities, wordpress/news platform so you can quickly see what is going on with your favorite game, and of course, forums to allow you to discuss everything game related with the community.

What does that mean for FFXIclopedia?

We've copied the FFXIclopedia wiki content over to Gamerescape in order to seed and expand upon the wiki over there. FFXIclopedia will, of course, remain at Wikia and remain open and available for editing. To be clear, while there have been a few rather public departures from Wikia in the past few months, they are not a factor in our decision. The reality is that Wikia provides a great service for wikis and was a fine home for the past few years. They allow anyone with one click to try their hand at starting a wiki and a community. That is invaluable and, looking at Wikia's growth, has served them well. In light of some the recent public departures, we feel it was important to make this clear.

We are making this announcement because (i) we are truly excited about what we're launching; and (ii) you, the community, should know that the founders and some of the current admins and moderators will not be here, but will be developing the FFXI wiki/forums over at gamerescape.

What else is over at Gamerescape?

In addition to the content from the FFXIclopedia wiki, we have integrated Eorzeapedia - so all of your FFXI and FFXIV information is on the same site, just a click or two away. Also, in addition to FFXI and FFXIV, we've launched WakfuEscape, a platform dedicated to the upcoming Wakfu MMO (distributed by Square Enix). Complete with news platforms, forums and podcasts - we're continuing in our efforts to provide a site where you can get all of your gaming information without having to jump from site to site.

We've learned a lot since 2004 when we started FFXIclopedia, a lot of which is reflected in our new FFXIV and Wakfu wikis. We remain nothing more than a group of gamers at heart who enjoy playing games and helping the community develop a resource for those games. We're looking forward to continuing that effort over at GamerEscape.com. We hope to see all of you there.

PS. For those that have an Eorzeapedia.com account - your log-in credentials should work at any GamerEscape.com site.
