Discussion
Made some changes to the template to make it look closer to the old, non-template version. Hope noone minds. ~ Karuberu 20:36, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Proposed Redesign
As all quest pages should have this template applied now, I suggest that we use it to clean up the template a bit. Below is a demo of my proposed changes: tigher spacing, better alignment, collapsible tables, and smoother colours.--Anthoron T/ C 02:28, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Not bad. I still kind of prefer the old version since it's less eye-catching (and the infobox is not all that important compared to the walkthrough), but I still use the old monobook skin, so it probably looks a lot brighter to me than most people. Oh, and the current version should have a collapsible cutscene table, but it isn't working for one reason or another. I didn't feel like fiddling with a template that was in use on so many pages, so I just left it alone. If you know what the problem is, feel free to fix it. ~ Karuberu 13:43, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
- I've toned down the colours a bit so they aren't as glaring. The issue with the collapsible table is that the first row of the table is being used as a spacer row; the script that makes the table collapsible requires the first row to be the table header. Deleting the empty row will fix the problem (I can't edit it because of the protection on the page).--Anthoron T/ C 01:40, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- If we're going to tweak quests, we should do missions too for consistency. (e.g. The Horutoto Ruins Experiment) --User:Charitwo/Sig 04:29, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- I'm planning on doing the same thing for missions/assaults/campaign ops once the style for quests is sorted (identical sizing/padding/layout, but different colours).--Anthoron T/ C 04:43, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- Ahhh... Thanks, that was bugging me (and sorry; I had forgotten the template was protected when I wrote that). The new colors are also good; I think those will blend in a lot better than the old ones. ~ Karuberu 21:17, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

If there's no further input (or objections), can these adjustments be made to the template (or the protection on the template relaxed slightly, and I can make the changes)?--Anthoron T/ C 11:06, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
- That would be fine with me. The only reason I can think of to delay implementing the changes is Charitwo's comment earlier; if we delayed changing the template until missions were also templated, we could change them both at the same time and prevent any inconsistency. I don't think it's really necessary, but I figured I should mention it before I go ahead and change the template. ~ Karuberu 00:07, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- I say go for it. Looks great - much improved over what we had for past 5 years. --GAHOO t/ c 17:14, 26 July 2009 (UTC)
Text Alignment
The current Quest TOC (table of contents) text alignment is center. It looks awful and makes it hard to read when there's more than 2 elements in the TOC. The default text alignment should be left. Just look at the TOC example above which only has 5+ elements in it. You can't even tell apart the nested elements because of the center alignment. --Lord0din69 (talk) 08:41, August 19, 2016 (UTC)
Cutscene List Glitch
A recent update to the template has caused the cs list to stop appearing. -- Jamcake (talk) 00:41, 8 January 2023 (UTC)
