Medb (pronounced [mɛðv])—later forms Meḋḃ, Maedhbh ([mɛɣv]) and Méabh ([mʲeːw]) and also Maeve—is queen of Connacht in the Ulster Cycle of Irish mythology. Medb is strong-willed, ambitious, cunning and promiscuous, and is an archetypal warrior queen. (Wikipedia)
