Game Script

Fire and Brimstone (pt.1) - Windurst Woods
Perih Vashai: Have the winds sent you to me once more...?

Perih Vashai: I have just had word that one who knows of the fate of the sinner's daughter can be found in the Blacksmiths' Guild of Mhaura.

Perih Vashai: Upon hearing this, the Mithran Tracker immediately set off on her way. I wish for you to also travel to Mhaura and meet with this perrrson.

Perih Vashai: You have your task.
The blessing of the winds upon you.

Fire and Brimstone (pt.1) - Mhaura
Koh Lenbalalako: And you arrre?

Koh Lenbalalako: Weren't you the one under orderrrs from Chieftainness Perih Vashai?

Koh Lenbalalako: The Mithran Tracker from the homeland was here a moment ago.
She was asking about the incident that occurred twenty years ago concerning the Chieftainness of the Fire Tribe and her daughter...

Koh Lenbalalako: Do you know of the Fire Tribe?
They are a Mithran tribe that lives on the southern continent.

Koh Lenbalalako: It was some thirty years ago now.
The chieftainness of that tribe committed the sin of slaying a fellow tribal member.

Koh Lenbalalako: She spent ten years atoning for that sin in the homeland...
When war broke out here, she escaped from prison, crossing over to this continent with her daughter in tow.

Koh Lenbalalako: At the time, I was performing the dangerous duty of escorting people and supplies between Jeuno and Windurst.

Koh Lenbalalako: One day a Mithran woman and her child slipped into our company.

Koh Lenbalalako: We set out for Jeuno, not realizing it was the chieftainness and her daughter who had joined us.

Koh Lenbalalako: However, things didn't go as planned.
We were discovered by a party of Yagudo in the Meriphataud Mountains.

Koh Lenbalalako: The Yagudo quickly overwhelmed us, and we were taken to Castle Oztroja and held as prisoners.

Fire and Brimstone (pt.2) - Mhaura
Koh Lenbalalako: The prison of Oztroja was a terrible place. All we could do was shiver in the biting cold.

Koh Lenbalalako: At regular intervals, the Yagudo would come to drag one of us from the prison.

Koh Lenbalalako: Finally, the Chieftainness of the Fire Tribe was taken away, leaving her daughter behind.
Only the two of us were left...

Koh Lenbalalako: ......

Koh Lenbalalako: Not long after that, we were saved by the elite warriors stationed in the Meriphataud Mountains, led by Perih Vashai herself.

Koh Lenbalalako: I took the child back to Jeuno, but she grew thinner by the day from misery and exhaustion.

Koh Lenbalalako: ...Her body was interred in the Eldieme Necropolis, along with the remains of the other races who had died in the war.

Koh Lenbalalako: The daughter of the sinner could not be buried in the lands of the Mithra...

Shikaree M: I go now to check the verrracity of that story, to see for my own eyes the body of Syu Befrathi, daughter of Chieftainness Nhev Befrathi.

Shikaree M: I have heard from the townspeople that dangerous creatures rrroam the dark hallways of the Eldieme Necropolis.

Shikaree M: It is a place that cannot be entered alone. But of course, I have no intention of giving up on my quarrry.

Shikaree M: You are one of the brrreed they call adventurers, right?
Adventurers are said to take on almost any kind of work as long as the pay is good.

Shikaree M: I will follow after you, keeping out of sight. Clear the path ahead, making for the cemetery in the center of the necropilis.

Shikaree M: Meet me at the necropolis, and don't be late.

Fire and Brimstone (pt.1) - The Eldieme Necropolis
Shikaree M: Player name...

You took your time. Perrrhaps you considered giving me the slip?

Shikaree M: Even if you tried, it would be a futile effort. You cannot get away from a Mithran Tracker.

Shikaree M: Within the Eldieme Necropolis, there is a cemetery divided into four areas where the casualties of the Great War are interred.

Shikaree M: There is a stone monument in each rrroom that details who is buried where. First, we should search the stone monuments for the name of the sinner's daughter.

Shikaree M: Take the lead. I will follow after you, keeping out of sight.

Fire and Brimstone (pt.2) - The Eldieme Necropolis
The names of the deceased are carved upon the stone.

The name of the sinner's daughter, Syu Befrathi, is here!

Shikaree M: Did you find her name?

Shikaree M: Well Player name, let's go and check the grrrave.

Shikaree M: ......
She definitely appears to be interred here...

Shikaree M: What's this...
A twinstone earring? The daughter's...?

Shikaree M: There's nothing left of the body, but...
This is enough. There's nothing more we can do here. Let's return to Chieftainness Perih Vashai.

Fire and Brimstone (pt.2) - Windurst Woods
Perih Vashai: You have rrreturned.

...And the Mithran Tracker with you.

Shikaree M: After learning the location of the daughter's final rrresting place, we trrraveled to a place known as the Eldieme Necropolis.

Shikaree M: There, we found a twinstone earring. Piecing togetherrr everything I have heard, I believe it must belong to the sinner's daughter.

Shikaree M: However, one problem rrremains.
Where is the other half of the stone?
Where is the grrrave of the mother?

Perih Vashai: We were unable to discover the mother's body.

Perih Vashai: Since she was held captive in the prison of Castle Oztroja, her rrremains should lie there still.

Perih Vashai: It is said that the King of Oztroja forces prrrisoners to fight his Yagudo in a hall on the highest level of the castle. The bodies of the fallen are then supposedly thrrrown into a large pond.

Perih Vashai: If you search the pond thorrroughly, you may find what you are looking for...

Shikaree M: Well, I will leave this task to you. Rrreturn here as soon as you find the old earring.

Perih Vashai: I must apologize, adventurer.
I would like to send a parrrty of warriors to aid you, but we do not have permission from Heavens Tower to enter Castle Oztroja.

Perih Vashai: The blessing of the earth upon you.

Fire and Brimstone (pt.3) - Windurst Woods
Shikaree M: You found it...

Yes, it's a perfect match with Syu Befrathi's twinstone earring.

Perih Vashai: I'm impressed.
Tales of mighty adventurers are often little more than exaggerated rumor.

Shikaree M: However, while the adventurer was perrrformig his/her task, I was busy talking with an important witness.

Shikaree M: This witness claims that the use of a shining bow was rrresponsible for your loss of sight.

Shikaree M: The witness also mentioned that the prisoners of Oztroja were saved by a bow that loosed arrows of light so dazzling, the Yagudo were struck blind. This could only describe the Bow of Light.

Shikaree M: It is time for the truth to be known. You are concealing the Bow of Light, aren't you? Have you been seduced by its powerrr, Perih Vashai?

Shikaree M: Even for one who is blind, surely you can see this has gone on long enough!

Perih Vashai: ......

Shikaree M: Very well.
It is said that you are not one to run and hide.

Shikaree M: I am in no hurry. Let us leave it at this for now.

Shikaree M: And this, adventurer, I give to you. May you always be on the side of justice.
