What are Aptants?
Aptants are EX items used in junction with a Base Ebon-Ebur-Furia piece of armor to create a more specialized job-specific piece of equipment.
What are Pigments?
Pigments, like Aptants, are EX items used in junction with synergy to create specialized armor sets. Synergizing your armor with a Pigment will change its color: Ebon(Black), Ebur(White), and Furia(Red).
Obtaining an Aptant
Aptants can be found in the form of EX items; dropped from various Notorious Monsters throughout Vana'diel.
Obtaining a Base Armor
Base armors used to create Aptant armors can be crafted, or bought via Auction House.
