Historical Background
A Yantok is a stick used as a weapon in the Filipino martial art, Eskrima.
They are typically constructed from rattan, an inexpensive stem from a type of Southeast Asian vine. Hard and durable yet lightweight, it shreds under only the worst abuse and will not splinter like other woods do - thus making it a safe training tool. --Wikipedia
