I have noticed that my chocobo has an overall lower speed when wearing wooden saddles, while wearing metal saddles increases speed slightly. As said in the talk page of the normal chocobo racing guide, actual points COULD be a factor (rather than just the rating, i.e. First-Class). I am doubting this however; I am beginning to believe that certain saddles increase RACING stats directly (i.e. Speed instead of Strength, Stamina instead of Endurance, etc.) Since chocobo racers still and probably always will have a low population, this is difficult to prove or even test from different people's experiences.

Just a little insight from a Chocorookie :P Make of it what you will, whoever reads this, and good luck racers! --Zatias 05:52, March 18, 2010 (UTC)
