Vandalism?
I just deleted this page, created by User:Itikuo. He's clearly trying to impersonate someone from SE; I very much doubt SE would hire anyone with grammar that bad, or have someone try to represent them with the information he presented. I deleted the page based on Article for Deletion - RMT List reference by Ayrlie, as it doesn't belong here at all. I don't know if you want to consider this vandalism or not, but I thought you should see it. --Chrisjander 22:21, 28 March 2007 (EDT)
Question
How should we deal with users that do this sort of thing (which I decided to revert, rather than reply)? I am well aware of the fact that it has absolutely nothing to do with my adminative abilities/qualifications, but I'm inquiring about what sort of action should be taken against this sort of derisive behavior? --Chrisjander 02:40, 31 March 2007 (EDT)
I noticed the other day that --Chrisjander was changing {{Rare}}{{Exclusive}} to {{Rare2}}{{Exclusive2}} but in your Judgment Key revamp you changed it back to {{Rare}}{{Exclusive}}. Which one should be used, or does it matter? --Charitwo 10:37, 26 April 2007 (EDT)
- Nevermind, I see it now. --Charitwo 10:48, 26 April 2007 (EDT)
New template
I just made this new template for use in the Item Template. I think it will allow a quick way to add the AH line in to the "How to Obtain" section, as well as provide a precedent for additional useful information to be included in that line. It could possibly look better, but that's the wonderful thing about templates... if we don't like the look, we can change it, so long as we don't change the number of input markers, or what they're used for. Tell me what you think, and here's an example of it in use on the Quadav Augury Shell article. Thanks. --Chrisjander 00:31, 2 April 2007 (EDT)
Spam
User:Zephyr recently added a fake item (Argo's Pie) which I deleted. I believe this counts as spam? --Chrisjander 18:14, 2 April 2007 (EDT)
I asked Chrisjander about the non-protected project pages, and he was like naw people don't vandalise those. Well, speak of the devil, we have somebody that hit on one this morning. Perhaps it's time to protect those as well? --Charitwo 09:36, 11 April 2007 (EDT)
Two more spambots, Hw8Un2 and Bu9D8c. --Charitwo 10:18, 11 April 2007 (EDT)

More serious. Ganiman said he blocked their subnet, but apparently they found another way in. Gn2X10 (Talk)

AH
Whoops, my mistake. I sort of wish the AH Navigation Box was discussed more, too (it looks bad when used on some pages and at lower resolutions), but I meant to talk about the {{AH}} template that Chris started placing on a few pages. I need to stop starting discussions when I'm tired, lol. ~ Karuberu 14:42, 4 April 2007 (EDT)
Heh, but everything looks bad at low resolution. --Chrisjander 15:33, 4 April 2007 (EDT)
Savanna Crab
Going through articles today I found this one and noticed that there was a regular version that is fished up, and one that is labeled as a Notorious Monster. You were the only contributor for that article. I referenced both zones that it can spawn in and have found nothing linking it to any drop or quest. --Charitwo 14:19, 10 April 2007 (EDT)
I was saying if it's not related to a special drop or a Quest/Mission, and does not check as Impossible to Gauge the article should not display it as an NM or use the FFD9D9 color. --Charitwo 15:33, 10 April 2007 (EDT)
Redirects for Deletion
Please see discussion on Charitwo's page. --Mierin 13:54, 11 April 2007 (EDT)
Per your last message, please see my latest edit to Mierin's talk page. --Charitwo 14:27, 11 April 2007 (EDT)
Self-promotion?
I'm not sure what the specific rules are so I haven't actually taken any action yet, but the user Zoomie has been posting a link to his tool on a lot of various sites. I haven't downloaded it, don't trust it, but it sounds like it has a bunch of calculators for all kinds of FFXI-related stuff and so he's posted a link to his program on every single page that touches anything his calculator does. This seems a bit like spam... in fact the approach seems very similar to a person who is trying to promote a less-than-reputable program. (In other words, infected with a trojan or keylogger. The approach being to reach as many people as possible before the true intent of the program is discovered.) Could very well be an attempt to gain access to peoples' systems which is the main reason why such broad self-promotion seems like it should not be allowed. Apologies if this is already available somewhere, but what are the specific rules regarding to self-promotion? --Pergatory 16:42, 11 April 2007 (EDT)
NM Tables
The NM tables should be all entered now. There's some cleanup work that I'm going to go back and do now. As I went along I developed some standards (consistent wording, punctuation, etc.) that I'm going to make sure to implement on the categories I edited first. --Techno 00:12, 12 April 2007 (EDT)
More vandalism accounts found
I noticed you banned a few accounts for vandalism with the weird names, and now a few more seems to of popped up again, users: BqiC58, QvbR6f, KxbNhz, Ex7Ej6, OaxUxo, PjuUow, Ma77o, ZpjDnw which are currently not on the block list. Not sure why these accounts are being created and why they are doing these minor vandalism edits, hopefully you will be able to find a way to block whoever is doing this if they are all coming from the same IP or put restrictions on new accounts :( --Wayka 06:50, 12 April 2007 (EDT)
Adventuring Fellow Guide
The glitch was the screwed up formatting. The change I made fixed it for me. The glitch was mostly likely caused when I did some section editing (since the whole page isn't shown, I didn't see it). I don't know what's causing the glitch, that's why I call it a glitch rather than an error... If you know what's causing it/can fix it, that'd be great. ~ Karuberu 19:59, 16 April 2007 (EDT)
Funny how one word can do that to a page... I accidentally typed align="left" instead of align="center" and it threw off the whole next section. ~ Karuberu 20:22, 16 April 2007 (EDT)
Archive Box
There is no move tag for Templates, so I'll bug you instead. Template:Archive box/manual needs moved to Template:Archive Box/Manual in order to conform to naming conventions.
Also, along with this move, Template:Archive box needs to be deleted. Everything that linked to Template:Archive box has been changed to link to Template:Archive Box.
Thanks! --Charitwo 18:12, 23 April 2007 (EDT)
Vandalization
What are your thoughts on protecting the Community Portal? Also, can you ban the users who recently vandalized it? --Divisortheory 13:19, 24 April 2007 (EDT)
- Disregard, article was protected and the user in question blocked. --Charitwo 13:25, 24 April 2007 (EDT)
<sigh> Some guy really hates this Sonix person, and frankly, I'm getting sick of this person(s). They keep changing the external image link to some stupid "we hate you Sonix" image they make inexpertly in paint or whatever they waste their spare time with. This time his account name is User:Billybob7, so could you please ban this recent incarnation? For that matter, should we even have this page on the wiki? It's just a glory page for people who've obtained fully upgraded relic weapons, and while we wish them the best I don't really think this page is necessary, if for no other reason than the vandalism that's occurring here. We shouldn't have to monitor the drama that's ensuing from this page. Screw it, I'm in a bad mood, and from the look of the talk page, this page is already unpopular with Ganiman and a couple other normal users. I'm marking it for deletion. --Chrisjander 18:37, 25 April 2007 (EDT)
Thanks
Thanks for fixing the subpage on my user page. I misaremembered what the proper formatting was, so thanks. --Volkai 15:02, 26 April 2007 (EDT)
