Orphan pages

What are the orphaned pages, what makes them orphaned? --Chrisjander 10:01, 7 March 2006 (PST)

I can't figure out how to directly link to the special page, but if you look at the toolbox on the left, and click on the "Special Pages," it will bring up a list of special pages that the Wiki gathers. One of those pages is "Orphaned Pages." I can't figure out the wiki language to get me to link directly to it.

Anyway, and "Orphaned Page" is a page that has nothing linking to it. It may be in a category, so that the category may link to it, but it is still registered as an Orphaned Page because there are no other pages that intentionally link to it. --Mierin 10:10, 7 March 2006 (PST)

Update Items

Come on now M - you know I have no technical skills. Cut and paste man... cut and paste... ;D

On a more serious note - a wiki is of course not a database - so we will be hard-pressed to do some of the things that the databases are able to do (i.e. .dat files, sorting, various searches, etc.) needing instead to rely on user created pages showing a static result of what would have been a database sort (vs. Wind is a good example). I know I am not telling you anything you don't know. I guess my point is only that I have come to recognize the limitations of the technology (all offset by the advantages IMO).

All that said, cutting and pasting goes pretty fast with a few windows open. Especially if the first step (which is what I did when I added all the mobs (ug)) is creating a page of links to all the new pages that you want to add. That way the Wiki "makes" the new page for you and you just click and paste. --Gahoo 10:32, 8 March 2006 (PST)

Re: Avoiding

Yeah, I hate you and I never want to see you again. HAHAHAHAHAHAHa

No... my server at home that I use IRC from is down, and the network I'm using blocks IRC traffic so I can't use the client from the web page. I feel so disconnected. --Ganiman 13:10, 9 March 2006 (PST)

How exactly would I change the name of the page and get rid of the other page? --Atin 20:09, 20 March 2006 (EST)

Re: Nynaeve

A while back, I quit the game due to being stressed out in RL and letting game get to me too much. When I came back (like two months after I left) I didnt want to be the 75 Hume WHM who people were used to asking for Raise III's from and PL's. I would usually always give them because I like helping people out (had a hard time saying no to people it seems), but in coming back, I just wanted a stress-free character where only my close in game and out of game friends knew me as well me. Also, when my BF came back to the game, most likely to me talking about it so much again, it gave us the oppurtunity to spend more time together. I originally wanted this character, due to it being a taru, and seeing taru's make good mages, to be BLM, but as chance has it, I have been leveling WHM more. I find that when I am BLM or any other job really, I get too fustrated by most WHMs incompetence so I go out and level my own to at least have competency on that front. It is actually fun to relevel it. I never minded XPing the jobs I like. AND I got to do all the Quests again (I already have Fame 9 all cities), its the CoP missions that have me depressed that I have to do over. But the actual leveling is alright, I have leveled many characters before so one more doesnt bother me. Plus as my BF said, Taru's and San d'Oria rule. I did start her out in Windy to get the ring though, but I have done most of the Windy Rank on Mag and while the story was interesting, San d'Oria is my prefered city. Also, as my User Page will show, I am currently trying other jobs, Corsair and I am thinking of leveling my THF after I do my RNG some more. I am debating the possibilities of them being good subs to COR but we really wont know til we start seeing some Artifact Gear to see what the stats on those are. It says COR is support but I can see them being a good DD as well as a support. Taru's have good Agility so we will see. Anyways, hope this answers your Question and that you arent really confused anymore. :) --Nynaeve 21:27, 25 April 2006 (PDT)

Good Job Mierin!! Now you are Elite!! Which direction are you taking it in now? Are you going to get plenty of buffer and swith to merits and if you switch to merits what are you going to go after first? --Nynaeve 08:36, 4 May 2006 (PDT)

I'm only like 96 xp over level. I'm going to get myself a 10-20k buffer, then go try other jobs. Merits really don't appeal to me. There are now 17 other jobs I want to try out. Probably BLM, PLD, THF and/or SAM are on my plate next. --Mierin 08:48, 4 May 2006 (PDT)

White Mage

Now you see why I felt I needed to make a new guide. I will slowly but surely make that guide, give me time. Had a lot of RL stuff going on lately. But hopefully mine will make a bit more sense and not be as close minded. --Nynaeve 08:11, 8 May 2006 (PDT)
