ok thanks for the info. i cleaned up the links in COR and PUP quest walk thrus. the link might even give me more AK.com "fame points" or what ever theyre called. not that i really care or not, but *shurg*. i still dont know how to reply to contact other ffxiclopedia users other than Joon > discussion > edit > manual edit. is there a faster way to reply to you?

oh, you mean in the link. if i edit the original alla link will if break the the ffxicloepdia link? also, is there an easier way to reply you? im using the edit tab on ur discussion page

im not sure how to reply to a message, so let me know if u get this Joon, "in what article are you refrencing 'l33t speak'?"

Since Diabolos is singular, "Diabolos's" is perfectly correct, and preferered by the Chicago Manual of Style. --Valyana 10:04, 6 Jan 2006 (PST)

Just wanted to say...Gods, your photo additions are fantastic. That photography's perfect; you capture only the subject. This Wiki needs more photographers like you. XD

Thank you. I humbly ask you to continue your efforts for the good of the Duchy-Err, Wiki. --Maledict 10:26, 9 Jan 2006 (PST)

Ditto ^^ --Gahoo 11:40, 9 Jan 2006 (PST)

Yay! Joon the master photog is back! Horray! --Gahoo 12:38, 24 May 2006 (PDT)

Awww, I thought I was after uploading pictures for all the cooking recipe items ;) --Chrisjander 12:52, 24 May 2006 (PDT)

Note to self: I can't seem to find the NPC Vanfrango in Windy Waters both north & south. McDonald's is evil. Big Macs are actually aliens dressed in lettuce...

You really are so Godly... lol... So very helpful and godly... Let me look for Vangrango when I get home... I swear I have seen him... --Nynaeve 13:12, 1 June 2006 (PDT)

File:Minipote.jpg

Thanks for the comments!

I was checking out the Unused Files page & came across this. I'm not sure if this is a player or nighttime NPC or special event NPC. The name looks kinda white so I'm guessing it's a player. Guess I'll leave it for now.

Looks like someone's userpage shot that they never got to using. --Chrisjander 16:42, 1 June 2006 (PDT)

Yeah but there's one little problem about that theory... I'm the one who took the shot... lol...

Babubu is the fishing guild merchant in windy, and there's no NPC directly in front of that counter, so it must be a player... maybe you've been taking too many screenshots? ;) --Chrisjander 20:55, 2 June 2006 (PDT)

If you have trouble getting screenshots of Jeuno NPCs, try running out of range, pressing the "Standby" button on your modem (alternatively, pull the cable out if you don't have one), run to the NPC and take your screenshot, then reconnect, or just allow yourself to DC. This will keep PCs and NPCs from appearing on your screen, so make sure the NPC is drawn, but without any players around. Feba 19:40, 18 June 2006 (PDT)

Toreador's Ring

I fixed the small formatting errors on the Toreador's Ring that you made, it was overall good but did have some small discrepencies. Better luck next time =P

While I am here... Do you want to design a Merchant Template? You are the one who basically made all the Merchant Pages. I put my request in for one on the Requests page, but if you had the time or inclination, it prolly would get done faster if you did it. I had a new user ask me for the correct template for merchants and I was like shit there isn't an actual template... If you can and do - let me know! --Nynaeve 08:28, 26 July 2006 (EDT)

Well, I gave User:Spottycat ~ Hortense & Charging Chocobo as examples to work off of. You know how the Item Template shows how to make the page for Items, well I want a Merchant Template (that link would be best probably) that took after the Item Template and the Notorious Monster Template, but for making Merchant Pages. I can help you with any coding, but in all honesty, I rarely touch Merchant pages where-as your name is plastered on nearly everyone. --Nynaeve 14:28, 26 July 2006 (EDT)

I like the pages with tables, rather than just lists, personally, but there are so few of them. Check out Aveline for an example. --Chrisjander 15:09, 26 July 2006 (EDT)

Windurstian Baghnakhs

I fixed some of the minor errors on the Windurstian Baghnakhs. Please look at them to see what not to do next time... and as always... Thanks for adding a page! <3 Joon --Nynaeve 08:58, 4 August 2006 (EDT)

Template Talk Armor

Joon - will you please look at Template talk:Armor and comment as soon as you get a chance. I would really love to know your opinion on this change. Thank you! --Nynaeve 11:20, 9 August 2006 (EDT)

User Picture

FFXIclopedia editors are allowed to upload a single personal picture for use on their User Page. This picture must be no larger than 30 KB and the filename must be named after your User Page not your Character and look like User-UserName.JPG. For example if User:Nynaeve wanted to upload a picture for her User Page, the file name would have to appear as: User-Nynaeve.JPG or User-Nynaeve.jpg even though her character name is Birgitte. If you want to upload a new picture, make sure to upload it over the original filename. Once a picture is uploaded, the User will have 24 hours to incorporate that picture into their User Page. Any personal picture uploaded that does not follow this format, or is not in use on the User's User Page will be subject to immediate deletion.

Due to the new Change in the Image Policy, I had to delete your User Picture. Feel free to upload (1) that follows the above restrictions. Thank you for understanding. --Nynaeve 20:05, 2 November 2006 (EST)

Rename

If you still wish to have your account renamed, you must confirm your new name by editing with it, as it already exists on Wikia, to prove that it belongs to you. If it does not belong to you, you must either remove your request or choose a new name to be renamed to. You can check to see if a name is available by trying to log into it with a bogus password, if it says wrong password, try another name, if it says username is not available, you can request it. Thanks. --User:Charitwo/Sig 22:28, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

The founders and administrators of FFXIclopedia and Eorzeapedia, together with the podcast gurus over at Pet Food Alpha, Limit Break Radio and the Aetheryte Radio Network - are excited to announce their newest project - Gamerescape.com. Gamer Escape draws upon, and expands on, our collective experiences. We're combining the wiki platforms where you can get your information, podcasting platforms where you can listen to your favorite podcasting personalities, wordpress/news platform so you can quickly see what is going on with your favorite game, and of course, forums to allow you to discuss everything game related with the community.

What does that mean for FFXIclopedia?

We've copied the FFXIclopedia wiki content over to Gamerescape in order to seed and expand upon the wiki over there. FFXIclopedia will, of course, remain at Wikia and remain open and available for editing. To be clear, while there have been a few rather public departures from Wikia in the past few months, they are not a factor in our decision. The reality is that Wikia provides a great service for wikis and was a fine home for the past few years. They allow anyone with one click to try their hand at starting a wiki and a community. That is invaluable and, looking at Wikia's growth, has served them well. In light of some the recent public departures, we feel it was important to make this clear.

We are making this announcement because (i) we are truly excited about what we're launching; and (ii) you, the community, should know that the founders and some of the current admins and moderators will not be here, but will be developing the FFXI wiki/forums over at gamerescape.

What else is over at Gamerescape?

In addition to the content from the FFXIclopedia wiki, we have integrated Eorzeapedia - so all of your FFXI and FFXIV information is on the same site, just a click or two away. Also, in addition to FFXI and FFXIV, we've launched WakfuEscape, a platform dedicated to the upcoming Wakfu MMO (distributed by Square Enix). Complete with news platforms, forums and podcasts - we're continuing in our efforts to provide a site where you can get all of your gaming information without having to jump from site to site.

We've learned a lot since 2004 when we started FFXIclopedia, a lot of which is reflected in our new FFXIV and Wakfu wikis. We remain nothing more than a group of gamers at heart who enjoy playing games and helping the community develop a resource for those games. We're looking forward to continuing that effort over at GamerEscape.com. We hope to see all of you there.

PS. For those that have an Eorzeapedia.com account - your log-in credentials should work at any GamerEscape.com site.
