Unbridled Passion (pt.1) - Windurst Woods Perih Vashai: ...?
The one who follows you here...
Semih Lafihna: Perih Vashai.
There is something I wish to ask you. Please give me an answer.Perih Vashai: ...And what might that be, Semih Lafihna? You wish to speak to me about the lost Bow of Light?
Semih Lafihna: No, not that. It's about my past...
Semih Lafihna: I rrrealized something with all this talk of the Bow of Light. The Sibyl Guards, every one of us, were prisoners in Oztroja twenty years ago.
Semih Lafihna: I listened to everyone's stories, and they all have memories of being saved by that bow. But for some reason, I have no recollection of it...
Semih Lafihna: I was one of those prisoners as well, wasn't I? I was taken in by Heavens Tower to keep the secrets of the Bow of Light hidden from the world.
Semih Lafihna: Or was there some other reason that only affected me? I don't know how you managed to erase the scent of sin from me, but I must be the sinner's...
Perih Vashai: Semih Lafihna, I swear on the Azure Bow. You are not the sinner's daughter.
Semih Lafihna: Then why?
The Mithran Tracker assured me there was no record of my parents. And there's one thing I dimly rrrecall...Semih Lafihna: At the time of the Great War, I rrremember my twinstone earring was switched with another. My past...why...?
Semih Lafihna: Why doesn't anybody know about my past?
Perih Vashai: I meant to tell you after all this was over, but I see I have no choice.
Perih Vashai: Go to Mhaura and meet with Koh Lembalalako.
Perih Vashai: If you take the twinstone earring I entrrrusted to this adventurer, she will talk with you.
Unbridled Passion (pt.1) - Mhaura Koh Lenbalalako: You must be...
You are the one who is in the employ of Chieftainness Perih Vashai?
Koh Lenbalalako: The Mithran Tracker appears to be widening her search for information on the Bow of Light.
Semih Lafihna: Player name, what are you doing here?
This is my prrroblem, and I'll thank you to keep your paws out of it!Koh Lenbalalako: You...?
Koh Lenbalalako: That isn't...?
Then, you must be the one taken in by Heavens Tower...Semih Lafihna: I was told by Chieftainness Perih Vashai that you had information about my past.
Koh Lenbalalako: ......
Semih Lafihna: Who does this twinstone earring belong to? The twinstone earring I carry does not match with the one I received from the chieftainness.
Koh Lenbalalako: It is the earring that was switched for the other when you were but a child.
...Yes, that is your original twinstone earring.Semih Lafihna: ...!
So, it was switched...Koh Lenbalalako: Yes, by your mother's request...
To help the sinner's daughter escape, your mother gave her earring to the sinner.Semih Lafihna: ...!!
Why would my mother do such a thing...?Koh Lenbalalako: You know the story of the company that was held captive in Castle Oztroja twenty years ago, and how the sinner and her child were with them?
Koh Lenbalalako: Perih Vashai was deeply troubled over whether or not to send the child back to the homeland.
Koh Lenbalalako: One night, the chieftainness came to me. We would report to the homeland that the sinner and her daughter had both perished in Castle Oztroja at the hands of the Yagudo.
Semih Lafihna: And for prrroof of her identity...it was necessary to swap the twinstone earrings.
Koh Lenbalalako: Yes. At the time, we were unaware of the scent that lingers on the sinner. We believed that everything would be solved.
Semih Lafihna: Using my mother's earring to help the sinner...how can I forgive something like that?
Semih Lafihna: All of this was done for the Bow of Light carried by the sinner, rrright?
Koh Lenbalalako: At this point, you wouldn't believe anything I had to say. What I can tell you is...
Koh Lenbalalako: The twinstone earring that you hold, the one that really belongs to you...
The other half can be found in the Northlands.Semih Lafihna: The Northlands...?
Where my mother died...?Koh Lenbalalako: I do not know if the one who holds it still lives.
I know only that twenty years ago, she traveled with the escort to the Northlands.Semih Lafihna: I have no rrreal desire to see a mother who would leave me to travel to the Northlands, but since I have come this far, I will go.
Both you and the chieftainness seem to wish it so.Koh Lenbalalako: Player name.
I have one thing to ask of you.Koh Lenbalalako: Could you possibly bring me a gold earring?
I've heard it's very useful.Koh Lenbalalako: If you can bring me that, I will tell you a little more of the story.
Unbridled Passion (pt.2) - Mhaura Koh Lenbalalako: Thank you, adventurer.
With this in hand, that child's long, hard journey will be made a little easier.
Koh Lenbalalako: Now...
Let me tell you what really happened those twenty years ago.Koh Lenbalalako: When we were imprisoned by the Yagudo in the Meriphataud Mountains, only the Fire Tribe chieftainness, Nhev Befrathi, managed to escape.
Koh Lenbalalako: However, this left her daughter, Syu Befrathi, in the clutches of the Yagudo...
Koh Lenbalalako: To save her daughter, Chieftainness Nhev Befrathi ran into the nearby camp of Perih Vashai and her elite warriors.
Koh Lenbalalako: For that chieftainness, this act was akin to jumping right back into prison, but it was the only option she had for her daughter's rescue.
Koh Lenbalalako: After hearing the words of Nhev Befrathi, Perih Vashai immediately led her warriors on a raid of Castle Oztroja, not waiting for the dawn.
Koh Lenbalalako: The power of the Bow of Light was incredible to behold. Even so, many warriors lost their lives that day.
Koh Lenbalalako: When we finally escaped from the castle, only a handful of warriors remained.
Koh Lenbalalako: In that battle, Chieftainness Perih Vashai lost the light, and Nhev Befrathi, her life.
Koh Lenbalalako: Left behind were the sinner's daughter, Syu Befrathi, and the Bow of Light...
We did our utmost to deceive everyone.Koh Lenbalalako: ......
Semih Lafihna must have learned something in the Northlands by now.Koh Lenbalalako: Please travel to the Northlands and look for a cave near Castle Zvahl.
Koh Lenbalalako: And if you happen to meet someone there, please give her my letter.
Unbridled Passion (pt.1) - Xarcabard Semih Lafihna: Player name! Semih Lafihna: Why have you come?
You don't need to be here.Semih Lafihna: This is a drrreadful land.
A place where even a person alone can barely sneak through.Semih Lafihna: That someone could be living in this accursed, godforsaken place is difficult to believe...
Semih Lafihna: Only, I found this on one of the monsters from around here.
Semih Lafihna: It's a broken arrow, but it glows strangely in a way that I have never seen in Windurst, or anywhere else for that matter.
Semih Lafihna: This arrow may have been loosed from the Bow of Light...
Which means the Bow of Light would also be here somewhere...Semih Lafihna: In any case, I must get closer to Castle Zvahl.
Take care of yourself, Player name.Unbridled Passion (pt.2) - Xarcabard Semih Lafihna: Player name! Semih Lafihna: Why have you come?

I feel some sort of prrresence from within.Semih Lafihna: ...!
Semih Lafihna: Who's there!?
Syu Befrathi: ...This arrow, an azurrre arrow...
Syu Befrathi: You were sent by Perih Vashai?
Semih Lafihna: I am Semih Lafihna, Sibyl Guard of Windurst!
Semih Lafihna: That voice...we are of the same tribe!?
If you're not an enemy, then show yourself!Syu Befrathi: ......
Semih Lafihna...Semih Lafihna: ...!?
...You, you're...!?Syu Befrathi: Yes. I am the daughter of Nhev Befrathi, the Fire Tribe chieftainness.
I am Syu Befrathi.Semih Lafihna: The daughter of...!?
You were supposed to have died twenty years ago!Syu Befrathi: Perih Vashai arranged it so that I could escape. She said that if I could make it as far as this place, the Mithran Tracker would not be able to follow.
Syu Befrathi: Come inside.
It is not safe to talk here...Syu Befrathi: ...I will tell you what you wish to know.
First, let me speak of the Bow of Light.Syu Befrathi: The Bow of Light is famous for its powerrr, but was not originally the weapon carried by the chieftainness of our tribe.
Syu Befrathi: It was something that Yow Rabntah found in this forsaken land and brought back to the tribe thirty years ago.
...No, what she actually brought back was the large gem that was to be embedded in the bow's shaft.Syu Befrathi: Yow Rabntah used the stone to create the Bow of Light, a weapon even more powerrrful than the chieftainness's Bow of Flames.
Syu Befrathi: The bow did not bring light as was intended. It was a bow that stole the light from my people...
Syu Befrathi: My mother, the chieftainness, insisted the bow be taken back to where it belonged. It carried with it the taint of this accursed place, and would surely have brought rrruin upon the tribe.
Syu Befrathi: The tribespeople, however, were already divided over whether to keep the bow.
Syu Befrathi: And then something terrible happened. A fiendish creature appeared before Yow Rabntah, almost as if the gem had called out to it.
Syu Befrathi: She was slain by the fiend...and my mother was disgraced by her inability to averrrt the tragedy.
Semih Lafihna: Thirty years ago...Yow Rabntah...
She was a member of the team sent to investigate this area, wasn't she?Syu Befrathi: Yes, you're rrright. It wasn't until ten years after my mother was imprisoned that we discovered the fiend was actually the Shadow Lord.
Syu Befrathi: When she learned of this, my mother escaped from her prison and headed for the Northlands. As the Chieftainness of the Fire Tribe, she sought to exact rrrevenge for her people.
Semih Lafihna: ......
She was captured by the Yagudo before she reached her destination...Syu Befrathi: ...Yes.
But I will carry out her rrrevenge.Syu Befrathi: I have returned with the gem, the "magicite" taken by Yow Rabntah, to purify this accursed land.
Semih Lafihna: ......
...You will never accomplish that alone.Syu Befrathi: ...This is true. But you are Mithra; you should understand. We are one with nature, and cannot ignore her call for help.
Syu Befrathi: I have rrresolved to spend my remaining days in this land, a land abandoned by the Mithra hundreds of years ago.
Semih Lafihna: ......
Syu Befrathi: Do not concern yourself with my safety. I have survived here for twenty years...
Syu Befrathi: I have been more worried about you. When Perih Vashai brought sin upon herself by letting me escape, you would also be held accountable...
Syu Befrathi: It seems the Mithran Tracker didn't explain that part to you.
Semih Lafihna: I would be...? What did you just say?
Syu Befrathi: Please take this.
It is the Bow of Light with the magicite rrremoved. If you give this to the Tracker, everything should be rrresolved.Syu Befrathi: Take this twinstone earring also.
It is the one given to me by Perih Vashai to disguise my identity.Syu Befrathi: All will become clear when you unite it with the twinstone earring that you carry.
Semih Lafihna: ...It matches!
Syu Befrathi: My mother and I...we owe you and your mother our eternal gratitude.
Goodbye, Semih Lafihna.Unbridled Passion (pt.5) - Xarcabard Syu Befrathi: Was there something else? Syu Befrathi: A letter from Koh Lenbalalako!? There's a name I haven't heard in yearrrs...
Syu Befrathi: Thank you, adventurer.
I wish for you to have these.Unbridled Passion (pt.2) - Windurst Woods Shikaree M: I now have the Bow of Light in my possession. The Magicite that gave this bow its cursed power has been rrreturned to the land where it belongs. Shikaree M: I wish to express my heartfelt grrratitude to you, Semih Lafihna, for rrretrieving it from the wilds of the Northlands.
Semih Lafihna: It was not I who found the bow. That honor belongs to the adventurer Player name.
Shikaree M: I see. I have much to thank you for.
Shikaree M: Ah, but words of thanks have little value to an adventurer, do they? Instead, I will give you these.
Shikaree M: It is a pair of hunter's socks.
Please take them as a symbol of my rrrespect for your skill as a ranger.Shikaree M: And so, Chieftainness Perih Vashai, I leave this land behind me to begin my next hunt.
Semih Lafihna: ...And just like that, she leaves...
Perih Vashai: ...Hmmm, the Tracker's real task here was most likely the destruction of the Bow of Light.
Semih Lafihna: And not catching the sinner?
Perih Vashai: I don't know for certain, but the homeland was definitely more concerned with the Bow of Light than the sinner's daughter.
Semih Lafihna: In that case, the magicite's power must truly be dreadful.
Perih Vashai: ......
Magicite rrresembles crystals. Or rather, the power contained in magicite is similar to, or perhaps greater than, that contained in crystals.Perih Vashai: But both are unnatural creations. The powerrr of magicite is an ominous, cursed energy. It is a manifestation of evil that we cannot tolerrrate.
Perih Vashai: The Chieftainness of the Fire Tribe, Nhev Befrathi, knew this. And after seeing the bow for ourselves, the Mithran Tracker and I knew it too.
Perih Vashai: That crystal calls out to those of Mithran blood. It awakens feelings of envy, of jealousy. It darkens the nature of the heart.
Perih Vashai: Nhev Befrathi and her daughter, however, had the strength to rrresist its influence. Even though they used the bow, the light in their hearts rrremained.
Semih Lafihna: ...I understand now.
Perih Vashai, you lost the light when you drew back the string of that cursed weapon.Perih Vashai: Yes. I saw the power of that bow and closed my eyes to it.
Perih Vashai: You desire nothing in a world where you see nothing. There is nothing to be afraid of.
Semih Lafihna: ......
I rrrespect you, Perih Vashai. I don't know if I could have done the same in your place.Perih Vashai: But for that, I twisted the path you were to walk. To save Syu Befrathi, I erased the existence of my own daughter...
Semih Lafihna: ......
Semih Lafihna: ...Perih Vashai.
I have no feelings of hate towards you. It is my duty to listen to the voice of naturrre.Semih Lafihna: I will come to see you again.
Until then, may the wind guide your footsteps.
