- Recast Time:240 seconds

Bundle of half-inscribed scrolls: Speak to Shanene in Batallia Downs (S) (J-7 - center west on the grid) to receive a Cipher: Rainemard. Trade this to Gondebaud, Clarion Star, or Wetata.
Notes
- Job abilities: Composure
- Spells: Protect I-V, Shell I-V, Phalanx, Haste/Haste II, Distract/Distract II, Refresh, Tier I Enspells based on the target monster's weakness.
- Does not cast any Cure Spells
- Even at low levels, En- spells do ~60 damage (which at low levels is more or less the damage equivalent of him using a weapon skill every hit). This makes Rainemard an exceptionally powerful Trust for leveling from 16 until around 40 or so.
- Weapon Skills: Burning Blade, Red Lotus Blade, Savage Blade, Vorpal Blade
- Casts spells on himself only. If Curilla is present, will cast Haste/Phalanx/Refresh on her.
Dialogue
- Summon: Witness the true embodiment of my sorrow.
- Summon (with Curilla in the party): Curilla...? My daughter had the same name. Could you be...?
- Dismiss: A true warrior does not shrink from defeat.
- Death: Were that Altana had seen fit to guide me...
