Walkthrough
Trial: Defeat a set number of experience-yielding monsters under the prescribed weather conditions.
Objective: 50 experience-yielding monsters of any family. As of the September 2010 update each kill count as 5, so only 10 kills is needed, if done one lightningday with weather. All other times as follows:
- Lightningday (no weather effect) will give just one point.
- Single weather
will give 5 points. - Double Lightning weather

will give only 5 points. - Lightningday and single lightning
or double Lightning weather
will give you 6 points per kill.
Equipment: Teiwaz must be equipped.
Location: Vunkerl Inlet (S) - Goblin's Bat at G-8, or Robber Crab at F-10/G-9/G-10/H-10, or Stygian Pugil @ H-10. Weather effects are not frequent, but one can kill 25+ Goblin's Bat on one Vana'diel day
Location: Grauberg (S) - Knotty Treant and Chigoe; F-11 to J-11; Thunder weather effects are not frequent, but one can easily kill 30+ Chigoes on one Vana'diel day.
Location: The Boyahda Tree - Bark Spider and Death Cap; Weather effects are frequent but sporadic; check with Appollonia in Upper Jeuno for weather forecasts to reduce time spent waiting on weather effects
Location: Korroloka Tunnel - Combat, Huge Spider, Jelly, Seeker Bats, Thread Leech; Because this quest can be completed by killing any monster on Thundersday finding a level 12-14 Level Sync and Summoner burning in Korroloka Tunnel will net you most of the 50 kills needed for this quest.
Location: Abyssea - Attohwa - Chigoe burn camp... At almost all points in time there will be someone burning Chigoes, so use this to your advantage. Simply stroll into the zone a few minutes before Lightningday to assess the situation, then politely ask to join the party if one is present, and proceed to get your 50 kills in under 10 minutes. Cheers. ~ Azryel - Ragnarok
