Defeat 250 experience yielding Manticore type mobs under Fire Day or Weather condition. Soulsaber must be equipped.

• Hieracosphinx in Abyssea - Tahrongi, near Flux 7. Lots to kill and very easy to solo. Sometimes you can find some other people to make the job even easier. There are a couple of NMs around but they are easy to avoid. Hieracosphinx sight aggro but do not link. They sometimes use Riddle, which can create problems to magic-users.

• Cape Teriggan sometimes has fire weather, so you can camp near the entrances to Cloister of Gales or Valley of Sorrows. A good number of Greater Manticore dwell there.
  • Be careful of the Cockatrice, Rocs and if you're using Cloister of Gales' entrance camp, the Manticore NM Frostmane (which is a lottery spawn from the Greater Manticores in the area).
