Since this is a community thing, I thought perhaps our opinionated guides could do with a little peer judging.
That way, the guides at the bottom of the job pages could have ratings (1-5 stars) depending on how good fellow <insert job here>s thought about the information in the guide, and how helpful it was to them. The rating system could be done completely on the discusison page of the guide (main page of the guide for multipages). For a rating to count you have to give a paragraph review on the guide, followed by your rating. Then, all the review ratings are averaged (round up) and we can tack the stars onto the guide listing in the main job page.

I think that is a fair idea. My only concern would be that it might promote bashing. --Pinkfae 09:45, 24 August 2006 (EDT)

The point was, only Admins can edit the job pages, so the final determination of rating come down to them. Those whos reviews are just senseless bashing can be ignored when the final tally comes in (even deleted). Well thought out criticism will be taken as seriously as well thought out praise. Just saying "This guide was awesome! 5 stars" wouldn't count, just as "This guide is complete trash! no stars" would also be ignored in the final tally. We're looking for constructive praise and criticism from the community, not Alla-trolling. --Chrisjander 09:51, 24 August 2006 (EDT)
On reading Gahoo's post, I completely agree that a more standard form of review would be perfect. I like standardization when it comes to stuff like that. --Chrisjander 09:51, 24 August 2006 (EDT)

I like the idea, but that means more work for you admins. I like the Userbox that says my favorite FFXIclopedia page is 'this'. IMO that sophises(sp). I think it would be really cool but could lead to some pretty interesting debates. --Edamus 10:21, 24 August 2006 (EDT)
