Walkthrough

Tokaka, in the Fisherman's Guild, will pay you 70 Gil for each Bastore Sardine you bring her.
You must leave the zone and come back to restart the quest each time. You also have to talk to her before you make each trade.
- You may only trade one Bastore Sardine at a time.
  - To get from 0 - 9 (hero) fame, you need to trade 20 stacks of Bastore Sardine's. ⇊

Note: If you can Warp, set your Home Point at F-7, East of the Orastery. Simply Warp after each trade and repeat.
- If you don't want to set your Home Point, use the warp Taru on top of the Orastery to warp you to Windurst Walls, and the corresponding one there to warp you back.
  - If you really don't care about the gil rewarded for doing this but you are only doing it to complete the quest, you'll have this highly fast optional route to directly purchase the fish right from the fishermans guild's guild shop.
Note #2: You can also grab the required fish Bastore Sardine by just entering the Port Windust's Mog Dinghy Sailboat at C-8 right in front of Tokaka plus it's sitting in the water front edge side of the Fisherman's Guild Dock with the Skipper Moogle in front of Mog Dingy SailBoat for zoning into the Mog Gardensto either be hopefully Monster Rearing the Bastore Sardine from your raised MG pets Sea Monk=Larva⇔Sea Monk or by purchasing it from the Green Thumb Moogle's Rank 3 Shop after you've already past obtained the "Sakura and the Fountain" to completing on repeating the multiple trades with entering MG-Dingy then exiting the mog gardens each time for every trade.

Summary: Tokaka can tell the flow patterns and temperature of the ocean currents by looking at certain fish. Bring her any Bastore sardines that you catch so she can help keep the fishermen informed as to where to drop their lines.
