Palnatoke or Palnatoki, sometimes written Palna-Toki or Palna Toki (Old Norse Pálnatóki or Pálna-Tóki), was a legendary Danish hero and chieftain of the island of Fyn in Denmark. He is the protagonist in their version of the Germanic "shoot-an-apple-off-my-son's-head" storyline, similar to the famous Swiss William Tell tale. The name has a possible interpretation of "Toki the Archer." (Wikipedia)
