Scintillating Rhapsody can have Oboro augment this in exchange for 300 Plutons, Beitetsu or Riftborn Boulders. To activate Augmenting with Oboro (after obtaining Scintillating Rhapsody), talk to him and select the following: Show me the list > About the weapons. Trade ONE of the aforementioned items with the weapon to begin the process, then you may trade the rest along with the weapon to finish the upgrade. You do not need to have all 300 at once, but you won't get max stats until you finish giving the full amount.

Derivations
To the native American Leni Lenape, an ohtas (from the Gothic Proto-Germanic for "revered") is a carved wooden doll associated with the manitowak, life-spirits of all living beings. Ohtas, or Doll Being, is the basis for the Doll Dance. During this earliest ritual dance, a lone child without dancing partner fashioned a doll from discarded corn husks. This doll was then revealed to possess marvelous powers of healing and well being. Because of this manifestation, a yearly tradition of carving wooden dolls evolved along with the dance to celebrate the honor of the Ohtas. The dolls too were believed to bring good luck and prosperity to the people. (Encyclopedia Mythica)
The fact that the term is about a doll relates to the PUP's automaton, and the hand-carved aspect may relate to it being a hand-to-hand weapon. The good luck, prosperity and well-being probably relates to the -enmity, along with the refresh and regain.
