No Laughing Matter

Note: This is the first quest of a quest chain. The final quest reward in the chain is a choice of one R/Ex earring for Dragoon, Summoner, Beastmaster, or Puppetmaster jobs ONLY, which cannot be stored on another character on the same account.
Note: One or more of the synthesis may fail, and you will lose all of the ingredients. You must obtain and trade the ingredients again for the requested item.
Note: While the ingredients list comes from Musto-Rusto, Tuffle-Buffle says certain ones are not necessary and she is correct.

• Talk to Peladi Shalmohr. After a lengthy monologue she will ask you if you want to take on a job as "manager". Accept the honors and she will send you on a quest to find some missing comedians.
• Head to J-11 (Western Adoulin on top of some boxes) and click on the Mischief Marker for a cutscene.
  • Note before continuing: The nearby NPC Ansegusele (I-11) sells Faerie Apple and Popoto. Kanil at (K-8) Western Adoulin sells Olive Oil.
• You will be asked to acquire the ingredients to make a Baked Popoto. Keep trading (all at the same time) the following items to the Mischief Marker until they are successful:
  • Fire Crystal
  • Selbina Butter
  • Popoto
• You will then be asked to acquire the ingredients to make a Dhalmel Steak. Keep trading the following items to the Mischief Marker until they are successful:
  • Fire Crystal
  • Dhalmel Meat
  • Black Pepper
  • Olive Oil
• You will then be asked to acquire the ingredients to make a Baked Apple. Keep trading the following items to the Mischief Marker until they are successful:
  • Fire Crystal
  • Faerie Apple
  • Selbina Butter
  • Maple Sugar
  • Cinnamon
• After the final cutscene, you receive 900 experience points.
