Derivations
Kalavejs: Possibly from the Lithuanian mythological smith Teliavelis, who made the sun and threw it to the sky. This myth survived in folk tales in the beginning of the 20th century. Some scholars, like K. Būga tried to prove that Televelis is incorrectly written Kalvelis (smith diminutive in Lithuanian). (Wikipedia)
