Inheritance/Plot Details

Gumbah: It says, "Do not let Werei's technique fade. Grant his blade unto those who are worthy."

Gumbah: Hmmm, I wonder if he means the sword Werei forgot to take with him on his journey...
Anyway, you look pretty strong. Would you mind trying this out? If you come across anything strange, bring it back to me, and I'll have a look at it.

Obtained: Sword of Trials.
Obtained key item: Weapon Training Guide.

Gumbah: He also wanted me to tell you this: You will acquire Werei's hidden technique only after you've traveled to the Western Altepa Desert and retrieved the Annals of Truth.
Hmph. If this is so important, why couldn't he just come here and give it to you himself?

Obtained key item: Map to the Annals of Truth

Well, let's see what you brought back.

Gumbah: Wait a minute... This isn't Werei's technique...

Gumbah: Oh, I see... That's what Zeid was trying to say.

Gumbah: I remember Werei telling me that long ago, the dark knight, Zeid, challenged him to a duel.

Gumbah: Zeid was still young and couldn't match the experience of the elder Werei. However, from his defeat, Zeid was able to devise a powerful new technique.

Gumbah: It was this head-on collision of these two different styles of battle-- no, these two different paths in life-- from which this new skill was born.

Gumbah: Werei wanted Zeid to realize that it was not only training, but also the crossing of different paths that made a man strong... Even if those paths were never meant to cross again...

Gumbah:You know, <Player's Name>. The battles you have fought have probably already taught you some new techniques as well. Use them wisely!
Use them wisely!

You have learned the weapon skill "Ground Strike"!
