Harald (Haraldr in the Old Norse language) is the name of several kings of Norway of the House of Hardrada; a sub-dynasties of the Fairhair dynasty from 800–1387. Probably the most famous Harald was Harald Sigurdsson (the "hard ruler") the third to carry the name. He is generally remembered for his invasion of England in 1066 where Harald died, struck in the throat by an arrow, during the Battle of Stamford Bridge. Harald's death is often recorded as the end of the Viking Age and as such has been called "The Last Viking."
