FFXIclopedia:AfD Discussions/Template Rare Exclusive

Delete: There are already templates that exist for this. Template:Rare and Template:Exclusive. If we are keeping up with adding rare and exclusive items to categories, then it might be worthwhile to edit the existing templates (above) and add the categories to them. --Chrisjander 20:04, 18 July 2006 (EDT)

Delete: These duplicate the existing templates and should be deleted. Overlapping templates defeates their purpose.

Resolution Delete.

I created this template because Template:Rare and Template:Exclusive don't link correctly to Category:Rare and Category:Exclusive. (They also aren't listed in Category:Templates, making them hard to find for new contributors.) If this can be fixed, I agree this should be merged into those, but looking at some discussion of Wikipedia's Click template makes it appear that this would be quite difficult. Consistency is good, functionality is better. You might be surprised how many players don't know what Rare and Exclusive actually do; we should make that information easily available to people who need it.
