FFXIclopedia:AfD Discussions/Chocobo Myths Guide

I understand that this is just a guide, and that guides are by definition can be full of opinion, but the good guides we have on the wiki, or even good guides in general have facts and opinions buoying each other up

The author of this guide just tells us speculation after speculation based on his experience alone, and without any sort of facts to back it up. As such there's no way to verify or disprove anything he has written. I feel it's a disservice to anyone looking for clear, concise, verified information. Link to a discussion board, post some screen shots, give a detailed break down of the components and results... anything but this, if you pardon my frustration, drivel.

This is a computer game, so everything is generally reduced to a set of interacting, interlocking rules that are hard coded in place. If this one character has an experience contrary to a majority of other players, then the burden of proof is heavily placed on him. If he can't follow through, or if no one else can replicate his conclusions - which, in their present form is pretty nigh impossible - then this guide ought to be removed. --Morari 13:33, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

The guide just doesn't look right to me, both in the way it's written and (lesser so) in the content.
IMO guides should be written in a more serious/semi-serious tone and that would essentially require the whole thing to be written,
it's tone is of someone just giving pointers to someone else ingame
the factual and non-opinion ones should be moved into the main choco raising article --Themanii 02:51, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

Delete: This seems like a discussion page, not a guide. --Leuqarte 23:43, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Deletion. I'm supporting the deletion of this article. Several other guides in the wiki, which are more informative, already have most of the information in this article. And as stated by Leuqarte, it is more like a discussion than a guide. MonkeyMagic 21:18, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
