Useless categories
This and Category:Aht Urhgan Whitegate NPCs seem useless. I say either have Whitegate NPCs moved to Category:Al Zahbi NPCs or just have this. But "Aht Urhgan" would also refer to its eastern capital, which is supposedly being released in the Far Eastern expansion (if there is ever to be one) and that would probably clutter this category, but it would just be a subcategory so what am I saying. Also, if Category:Nashmau NPCs is under here, I would say it's worth arguing that Category:Mhaura NPCs belongs under Category:Windurst NPCs and Category:Selbina NPCs belongs under Category:Jeuno NPCs since they are both under control by those respective nations. --Joped 18:20, 23 February 2007 (EST)
- Delete I agree with the above. According to The Empire of Aht Urhgan (much of which came from SE), Al Zahbi is the name of the city. So NPCs in the zones of Al Zahbi and Whitegate belong in Category:Al Zahbi NPCs. This and Category:Aht Urhgan Whitegate NPCs should be deleted. Category:Nashmau NPCs should be separate.

If I changed all of the articles under this category to reflect that there are just Al Zahbi NPCs and Nashmau NPCs, it will be easier to delete this and Category:Aht Urhgan Whitegate NPCs? --Joped 18:13, 25 March 2007 (EDT)
There's a lot of articles under this category. Why did someone even bother to make this category only to put the articles in the subcategories in it anyway? ; ; Anyway, I might not be able to get this category ready for deletion today, especially since there's so much. Maybe someone else can help? Like someone takes Whitegate (need to replace both Category:Aht Urhgan Whitegate NPCs and Category:Aht Urhgan NPcs with Category:Al Zahbi NPCs here), someone takes Zahbi (just get rid of Category:Aht Urhgan NPCs here), and someone takes Nashmau (same as Zahbi). --Joped 17:54, 17 April 2007 (EDT)

Move: I'm pretty sure someone, I think Ganiman but I'm not too sure, made it firm about useless categories. The Commoner's Ward (Al Zahbi) and the Merchant's Ward (Whitegate) are both part of one city, Al Zahbi. I mean, it's not like we divide the Windurst NPC category into Waters, Walls, Port, Woods, and Heavens Tower. I thought the entire city was just Aht Urhgan, or West Aht Urhgan (as per /bmap). SE oddly just used the term "Al Zahbi" for the Commoner's Ward but only for the map, auto-translate, and maybe a handful of other things like your profile when you set your home point there (but I think residence will say "Residence: Al Zahbi"). Whenever an NPC says "Al Zahbi" they mean both sections, and if anything are mostly referring to the Merchant's Ward/Whitegate. West Aht Urhgan is the name of the Imperial-owned region including the Bhaflau Thickets and the city. --Joped 15:04, 24 February 2007 (EST) Move/Comment/Resolution As above, we have "Aht Urhgan NPCs", "Aht Urhgan Whitegate NPCs" and "Al Zahbi NPCs". Our standard is to have one category per city, not per zone (i.e. "Windurst NPCs"). So since the city is Al Zahbi, the category should be Al Zahbi NPCs. "Aht Urhgan NPCs" and "Aht Urhgan Whitegate NPCs" should be deleted. These NPCs should be checked for proper categorization. --GAHOO t/ c 09:01, 5 July 2007 (CDT) |
