Encumberance

Encumberance is a harmful status effect that blocks changing certain equipped gear for a period of time. Most variants also remove whatever is in the affected slots, but some simply block changing what's already equipped. Can still cast spells, use Job Abilities and attack.

Does not seem to actually remove the gear anymore. It will remain equipped but all stats and effects from your gear is nullified, meaning that effectively you're unequipped, however when the effect wears you do not have to reequip your gear manually.

Differs from the effect inflicted by Pathos (Salvage) in that it is not removed by using "Cells" to unlock each of the 16 equipment slots, and it is inflicted by monsters.

• Wears off after a brief period of time.
