Usage
The Final Fantasy series takes most names for the items and enemies from real-world myths and legends, though often these terms (especially with a game the size and scope of FFXI), are obscure.
Here, in the Derivations category, you will find a series of sub-categories that display articles that have terms in their title that have been derived from particular cultures throughout history. The articles themselves have been categorised through the Derivations section at the bottom of the page.
Note that where articles do not have a Derivations section, editors are encouraged to create such. If they don't have the time or inclination to research a derivation, they can call {{Derivation}} with the article's undefined term. This will automatically categorise the page into Undefined Derivations which editors more inclined to such research can visit to clear at their leisure.
Note that there is also a category for English Derivations, which may be of more use to those for which English is not their first language.
