Ciphers are items that unlock Alter Egos when traded to any of the following Trust Initiative NPCS:
- Clarion Star at Port Bastok (K-7).
- Gondebaud at Southern San d'Oria (L-6).
- Wetata at Windurst Woods (G-10).
Many Ciphers are rewards for completing various Records of Eminence objectives, while others are rewards for completing missions, exchanging currency or redeemed from Mog Pells or Monthly Login Campaigns.
