Bozzetto Doppelganger
Face off against the Bozzetto Doppelganger and an army of summoned Prime Avatars. Ramuh stands before you as the gatekeeper, and defeating him unleashes the chaos of a sprinting summoner who can fill the arena with other avatars until you kill them all or interrupt the sequence.
Encountered Foes
- Bozzetto Ramuh - Present at the start of the fight. Much stronger than the other avatars.
- Bozzetto Doppelganger - Spawns as a clone of the party leader as soon as Ramuh is dead. Will summon up to all of the following avatars in no particular order.
- Bozzetto Ifrit
- Bozzetto Leviathan
- Bozzetto Titan
- Bozzetto Garuda
- Bozzetto Shiva
- Bozzetto Carbuncle
- Bozzetto Fenrir
- Bozzetto Odin. Only during Astral Flow
- Bozzetto Alexander. Only during Astral Flow
The fight ends when the Doppelganger and all summoned avatars are dead.
Difficulty Settings
The Difficulty Setting determines the total avatar count summoned before the Doppelganger will engage you normally.
Difficult/Very Difficult: The Doppelganger will summon every avatar
Normal: The Doppelganger will summon 3 avatars after Ramuh is defeated. A fourth might be summoned if the first three are defeated very quickly.
Easy: The Doppelganger will summon 1 avatar after Ramuh is defeated.
Very Easy: The Doppelganger will not summon avatars after Ramuh is defeated.
Battle Mechanics
Passive Traits
All foes:
- Completely immune to geomancy debuffs.[1]
Doppelganger:
- Very low HP relative to the avatars (~30k HP on VD). [2]
- Runs at sprint speed around the arena, ignoring enmity. Will still melee players in range if it runs past them.
- Very resistant to most enfeebling magic, but Gravity/Break/Sleep/Lullaby all land with enough accuracy. Resistant to all forms of damage.
Avatars:
- Ramuh has significantly higher HP (~330K on VD) than all the subsequent avatars (~180k on VD). Carbuncle only has about 60k HP.
- Avatars are generally immune to sleep except for Carbuncle and Fenrir, who are susceptible to elementally opposed sleeps.
- Will absorb magic damage aligned with their element, and will take additional damage from opposed elements.
- Tend to spawn with initial zone enmity (e.g. will go after support classes instead of tanks/damage dealers who were beating up Ramuh).
- Beneficial Blood Pacts can be stolen using abilities that absorb positive status effect, such as Atmos's Deconstruction or a Blue Mage's Osmosis.
- If left active for too long, may use their Astral Flow abilities even if the Doppelganger has not used it.[3]
Abilities Used
Doppelganger:
- Astral Flow: Uses at about half health. Will summon either Alexander or Odin. Resets hate. All active avatars will simultaneously use their ultimate abilities.
- Blood Pact: Will command active avatars to perform one of their blood pacts.
- Echo Drops: Will activate when silenced.
- Various Staff weapon skills, including Garland of Bliss and Shattersoul. This will perform a skillchain on the player tanking it.
- Summon Avatar: Will summon an avatar at random until they are all defeated. The Doppelganger will eventually run out of Avatars to summon and engage in melee combat. The Doppelganger will summon very frequently unless disabled (Silence, Sleep, Petrified, Terrored) or at least one player is within 15 yalms of it.
Bozzetto Ramuh:
- Lightning Armor: Uses immediately upon engaging. Cannot be dispelled with Dispel or Magic Finale (except by using Red Mage's One Hour Ability Stymie), but can be absorbed by spells and abilities that do so. The Dispel effect from Caballarius Gauntlets +2 / 3 also works. [4]
- Bolt Strike: Powerful 3-hit single target physical damage.
- Astral Conduit: Does not appear in the combat log, but Ramuh will spam Bolt Strike during it so you'll know when it's active.
- Stunga: This is very difficult to resist. Resets enmity on all affected players.
- Thunderspark: Single target thunder elemental damage + paralysis.
- Chaos Strike: 3 hit physical damage + stun.
Bozzetto Carbuncle:
- Healing Ruby
- Healing Ruby II
- Poison Nails
- Meteorite: Single target light elemental damage.
Bozzetto Titan:
- Earthen Ward: Significantly powered up (2500 HP Stoneskin on VD). [5]
- Earthen Armor: Significantly powered up (Damage taken -45%).
- Mountain Buster: Physical damage + bind.
- Geocrush: Earth elemental damage + stun.
Bozzetto Garuda:
- Aerial Armor: Significantly powered up (Six shadows).
- Hastega II
- Predator Claws
- Wind Blade
Bozzetto Shiva
- Crystals' Blessing: Significantly powered up (250 TP/tick regain).
- Sleepga
- Rush
- Heavenly Strike
Bozzetto Ifrit
- Crimson Roar: Significantly powered up (Attack +30%)
- Flaming Crush
- Meteor Strike
- Conflag Strike: Single target Fire elemental breath damage. Inflicts Burn.
Bozzetto Leviathan:
Bozzetto Fenrir:
- Heavenly Howl: Adds En-Drain or En-Aspir to auto-attacks.
- Lunar Roar: Front AOE Dispel (takes 2 effects)
- Eclipse Bite: 3 hit physical damage.
- Impact: Single target dark elemental damage + all stats down.
Bozzetto Odin:
- Zantetsuken: Instant K.O. to players in range. Can be completely avoided by using the /heal command. Range appears to be about 25'
- If the party wipes and reraises and the doppelganger had time to recover to 100% HP, it can use Astral Flow again.
Bozzetto Alexander
