Derivations
Altdorf refers to the city of Altdorf, Switzerland. It is here that, according to legend, the historical figure Wilhelm Tell (William Tell in English) shot a apple off his son's head using a crossbow. This is made plain by the Wilhelm's Earring which together act as a set.
