2026 - (07/09/2026) The July Version Update Has Landed!
As part of the July version update, we have added a new high-tier mission battlefield based on "A Crystalline Prophecy," which is one of the three add-on scenarios (*) previously released for the game. We are also planning to add a high-tier mission battlefield for each of the other two add-on scenarios in the future as well.
Other updates this month include revisions to the Limbus battle content, such as adjusting the number of floors in Temenos. We've also updated some of the game's default settings, including having the aspect ratio automatically match your configuration settings instead of defaulting to a 4:3 display.
Battle-related

You need a key item in order to enter the battlefield.
You can obtain the necessary key item from one of the NPCs listed below in exchange for merit points.- Trisvain in Northern San d'Oria (J-7)

Ode of Life Bestowing phantom gem: 30 merit points
You must have completed the "Ode of Life Bestowing" battlefield from the "A Crystalline Prophecy" add-on scenario in order to exchange for an Ode of Life Bestowing phantom gem. - Entrance, boss name, and entry restrictions
Entrance: Stellar Fulcrum
Boss Name: Seed Crystal
Entry Restrictions: No level restrictions, 30 minutes, 6-person party
You can access the Stellar Fulcrum by using the device located within Upper Delkfutt's Tower (F-10). - How to exit
- Defeat Seed Crystal.
- The time limit is reached.
- Examine the Qo'Tav Gate.

- The number of merit points required to make the exchange for the following phantom gems has been reduced.
- Wyrm God phantom gem: 30 merit points -> 10 merit points
- Orb of Radiance phantom gem: 30 merit points -> 10 merit points
- The following changes have been made to Temenos within Limbus.
- Some floors have been removed
Temenos - Northern Tower / Temenos - Western Tower / Temenos - Eastern Tower: From 7 total floors to 4 total floors
Central Temenos: From 4 total floors to 3 total floors. - The placement of certain monsters has been adjusted.
- The spawn conditions for the "???" have been relaxed.
- The amount of data required to obtain the temporary item has been increased.
- Some floors have been removed
- The foes in Ambuscade have been swapped out.
- As such, the corresponding Records of Eminence objectives have changed.

Before Change: 4:3. After Change: Automatically adjusts to the screen resolution set in the FINAL FANTASY XI Config tool.
The following aspect ratios are supported: 4:3 / 15:9 / 15:10 / 16:9 / 16:10 / 5:4. If you start the game at a resolution that does not support the aspect ratios listed, the closest available setting will be used instead. (Example: If your resolution is set to 2560 x 1080 (21:9), the aspect ratio will be set to 16:9.)

Resolved Issues
- The issue in Limbus wherein the Magic Shield effect of the monster Temenos Magic Pot's special ability "Spectral Barrier" is not activated.
In conjunction with this fix, the Temenos Magic Pot will no longer use its "Spectral Barrier" special ability. - The issue in Limbus wherein all of your exchanged race fragments can be lost when creating an Auge Scintistone at the Temenos Furnace under certain conditions.
- The issue in Limbus wherein certain monsters' behavior while fighting against the notorious monsters Ultima Forerunner and Omega Forerunner is incorrect.
- The issue wherein the icons for the following pieces of equipment are incorrect:
Auge Scythe / Daduchos Scythe / Telopanos Scythe / Auge Shield / Daduchos Shield / Telopanos Shield - The issue wherein Item Level 119 high-level equipment is not included in the help text for Storage Slip 03.
- The issue wherein equipment in your Mog Wardrobe does not display properly when viewing the change equipment screen under certain conditions.
- Various issues with incorrect text.
Known Issues
- In the "Lost Chick" quest, selecting "No" when asked to confirm if Violitte in Southern San d'Oria is the chick's owner, maps you have already acquired will be added to the list of purchasable maps, allowing them to be purchased again.
While playing the "Lost Chick" quest, please do not select "No" when asked whether she is the chick's owner.
